As one of Max Verstappen's best friends, you often get to go along to a race weekend. You are looking forward to it and you are proud that you are a good friend of Max. Besides Max, you also get along very well with Daniel Ricciardo. You know him from the time when Max started at Red Bull. You know the other drivers a little but not as well as Max and Daniel.
When you have some time, you take a drink and eat something on the terrace in front of the Red Bull motorhome. It is very nice weather and you and Max are sitting in the sun. When Daniel sees you he stops to have a chat. "Long time no see Y/N, nice to see you again." "Super to see you again Danny, I expect a lot from you this weekend." you say with a wink.
You laugh a little and another driver stops by your table. He high fived Daniel and he greeted Max. Then he looks at you, you have your big sunglasses on but it feels like he is looking straight into your eyes. You feel very shy and you can't say anything. "George, seriously you can just greet Y/N," says Max smiling. George breaks the so-called eye contact "Sorry, Hey Y/N!" "Hi George" you smile. The boys are talking about the race and you are very distracted during the conversation. Then George wipes his face with the hem of his shirt and you see a piece of his muscular belly. Now, you know that George is known for his shirtless photos, but now that you're sitting here looking at him, you can't help but stare.
When George walks away, Max says to you, "You were staring Y/N, even your mouth was open." You look at Max, startled: "It wasn't noticeable was it?". "I'm sure George noticed and I'm also sure he's going to take advantage of the attention you're giving him". " What do you mean by that?" "George has been talking about you since the first time he saw you." You look thoughtful, Max and Daniel both laugh, "That you hadn't noticed that yet Y/N".
When you go out to dinner with Max and his PR team in the evening, you will also meet George and his team. Max asks George if they would like to join you for dinner. You look at Max in surprise but you know why Max asks George. The whole evening you and George have eye contact and there is a nice atmosphere. When you have finished eating, you walk back to the hotel. Max pretends to be busy talking to his PR assistant so you can't walk next to him. But you do not walk alone for long, because you feel that someone comes walking next to you. "Hi Y/N" says George. "Hi George" you say shyly. You look at each other and say nothing. You feel yourself getting warm inside. "I like it that you are here again this weekend" says George. You smile at him, "me too." When you arrive at the hotel, George comes closer to your face and gives you a kiss on your cheek. "See you tomorrow Y/N."
The next day, your head is totally in the clouds. You can think of nothing else the whole day but George. When you walk past the motorhomes, you are suddenly pulled from behind into an alley between them. "I need to know if you have the same thing, you're driving me crazy, I can't think of anything else but you." George whispers. You try to get over the shock and stammer, "Yes I have that too." George grabs you and you start kissing in the alley. It gets a little out of hand and becomes very passionate. But both of you know that it is better to keep this a secret for a while because of the press. So you get yourselves cleaned up and take turns walking out of the alley. You look back and hear George whisper "See you tonight."
That same afternoon, you and part of Max's team walk past the motorhomes again. Max is doing interviews and you see George walking past on his way to the interviews. A woman from Max's team starts laughing: "George has lipstick around his mouth. You are startled and suddenly get all hot, you have put on lipstick this morning and you didn't think about it while kissing George. "He has interviews now, doesn't he?" you say anxiously. "The woman looks at the lipstick you have on and starts laughing out loud.
You start walking a little faster and try to get George's attention. It doesn't work. There is only one thing to do and that is to shout. You don't hesitate and shout: "George!" It seems to be completely silent and a lot of people are looking at you. "Well, shit..." you say to yourself.You see that George is also looking and gesture at your mouth. George's PR assistant immediately sees what you mean and whispers something to George. George starts laughing and walks away from the interviews to get himself decent. Unfortunately, Natalie Pinkham has also seen it. You can only hope that she will keep your new relationship to herself for a little while longer.
