(Y/N)

Avoidance. That's how Naruto had been treating her. Every time he would lay eyes on her it would be as if she was invisible, and she felt it slowly eating away at her. She knew she did something wrong and she is letting the guilt and angst eat away at her. She let Naruto get away with ruining her.

Slowly picking at her food she frowned. She would be going over to Boruto's house later that day to attend a dinner with his family. He insisted of her to go, and she declined, but he kept persisting. Eventually, she gave in.

Her ramen grew cold as anxiety carved its name into her brain. How would Naruto react? He said what he had done was wrong. Maybe their relationship would go back to normal, with less encounters. She felt her stomach churn as she selected a dress to wear that night. Lightly applying some products to her face and fixing up her hair she rested in her apartment until it was time for her to go.

Eight o'clock approached rapidly and all she was thinking about was to act normal, as if nothing had happened. She felt so guilty for Hinata, how bad she felt for her was unmatched. The clock ticked while (Y/N) anxiously tapped her fingernails against the boards of the wall, sitting in her bed.

Eventually she left the house, finally feeling ready. The wind lightly tousled her hair when she exited her apartment and into the night street of Konoha, still bustling with excitement. The lanterns illuminated the area, the luminous light exiting from each to give a subtle but comforting glow to the roads.

Approaching the Hokage's house felt too fast, as she was already knocking on the doorstep. She heard some footsteps tapping as they approached her behind the door and unfortunately, she was greeted with the face she least wanted to see. Naruto.

His blue eyes expanded as he silently opened the door for her as she let herself inside.

"Thank you for having me over." (Y/N) said politely and blankly, quickly bowing before walking into the living room where Boruto, his sister, and his mother awaited for her arrival.

Naruto closed the door, his eyebrows furrowing and he almost felt some sort of heavy emotion of sadness and remorse. What was he doing? His frown adorned his face grimly. The weight of his actions were finally beginning to press onto him slowly.

"(Y/N)!" Himawari exclaims as she rushes into her arms.

"Sorry for Hima, she's really excited you're here." Hinata says with a smile, making (Y/N)'s heart crack just a little.

"It's nothing Hinata-san. I'm glad to see her and be over at your home." She sends Hinata her most comforting smile. She then scans here eyes as she watches Boruto, who sits on the couch. His mind is engrossed into the video game in his hands.

"Whatcha up to, (Y/N)?" Boruto asks, not looking away from his game.

"Nothing much, you?" The blonde eyes her sympathetically but also quizzically.
