They moved the next day. Niki left the store to her girlfriend, Puffy, to run. As Niki was packing up her books and toys in the sunrise, Anika asked, the question lingering in her mind. "Why are we moving?" Niki had looked up, smiling. Anika could tell it was a fake. It was just to comfort her. "We're moving to a safer place, where we will be protected."
"Then why is aunt Puffy staying here then?"
"She is safe. We are not. You'll understand next time."
Now they were here, standing in front of enormous walls. They stood in the shadows of the walls, and Niki knocked on the towering wooden doors. There was shouting before Wilbur leapt down in front of them, startling Anika while Niki was unfazed, greeting him casually. "Hello." Wilbur smiled, noticing Anika's shocked face. "Sorry about that. We couldn't open the doors just in case you were an enemy. I jumped down from that latch over there," he pointed at a small compartment mined into the walls, just big enough for someone to stand inside and be on guard without being seen. He jumped up again, onto a tree this time, before leaping over the walls again. "Who knew he was so athletic?" Anika pointed out, watching in awe.
"It's by training. You'll see," Niki replied, heaving her bag into a better position. A moment later, the doors creaked open, revealing a smiling Wilbur. He gestured for them to enter, closing the doors after they had stepped into the land. "Welcome," Wilbur grinned, leading them over to a small campsite, "to our humble abode, L'Manberg!" The sounds of nature could be heard, birds chirping and bees buzzing, clashing with sounds of swords clashing, chatter, and fires crackling. "Ayyyyy Niki!" a familiar voice yelled as a particular blonde-haired boy ran into view, a diamond sword strapped to his side- Tommy. The young boy, 16 this year, was Wilbur's younger brother. Even though he was loud and obnoxious, he had formed strong bonds with Anika, and they were the best of friends. He wore the same uniform as Wilbur, knee-high boots, brown with golden lacing on the top. His white pants were pristinely clean, which was unusual for him. Usually, his clothes were dotted with mud as he spent his days playing with his best friend, Tubbo. A dark blue coat was thrown over his white shirt, left unbuttoned so that the gold buttons of his shirt were visible, glistening in the sunlight. The coat flapped around his knees, and the underside was a dark red colour. Golden cuffs covered the jacket's shoulder, and the red on the collar was visible. A red piece of fabric kept the white shirt tightly covering Tommy's slim form, and a black duke hat balanced precariously on his blonde curls, laced with gold on the top. He tipped it, mockingly bowing. "And Miss Anika." Wilbur burst into laughter, ruffling up his younger brother's hair. A brunette and a blonde, however unalike they look, were brothers deep into their hearts. Tommy followed Phil's looks, blonde hair paired with ocean blue eyes. Wilbur followed Kristen, Phil's wife's, looks. Brown hair with honey-brown eyes.
"So, I was about to lead you to your rooms before one particularly childish gremlin interrupted our conversation," he smiled down at Tommy, who threw a glare at him. But there was no actual heat behind those eyes. Just siblings being siblings. "I'm a big man," Tommy muttered angrily, "not a child."
"Sure thing, kid, whatever you say," Wilbur replied uncaringly, gesturing to Anika and Niki. "Come, I'll show you guys where you are staying." Ignoring Tommy's angry yelling, he led the two of them into the tent. It was nothing much, just a sleeping area on the floor and a few chests to put items. "It isn't much but-" Wilbur started before a tall figure ran in, interrupting him mid-sentence. The figure wore sunglasses, brown hair tangled up and messy. Their uniform was torn like they just got attacked. "Eret, what happened?" (For those who don't know, she's non-binary) Wilbur asked hurriedly, spinning around to face them. Eret was panting arm and his arm was bleeding. "It was the Dream Team! Tubbo and I were out hunting for food- they just came out of nowhere! You have to help Tubbo. He's still fighting them!" Wilbur looked alarmed, pulling out his sword. "Niki, Anika, wait here. Do not move out of the borders. Eret, get Tommy and Fundy," Wilbur instructed, running out of the tent. Anika's purple eyes stared up at Niki, who looked alarmed. Anika didn't understand. Who were the Dream Team? With such a dumb name, (I don't mean it don't hate on me guys) why did they look so afraid? Anika knew Eret, who was usually calm and composed, rarely alarmed. And he was good at fighting, always beating Wilbur in their training. Why would she be so easily defeated by the Dream Team? That only meant one thing- the Dream Team were very tough to defeat. "Mum, what's happening?" She asked as she heard Wilbur shouting instructions. Niki sighed as she leaned down to look Anika in the eye. "Remember the bad guys I told you about? The reason I don't allow you to go out later than evening?" Niki asked as blue eyes met purple. Anika nodded slowly, realisation dawning upon her. "They are the bad guys. They are extremely strong and dangerous, so keep away from any people carrying netherite equipment, okay? We use diamonds, so inform Wilbur immediately if you see anyone looking suspicious and carrying netherite equipment. Or any of us. I'm going to go see if I can help. Stay here, okay? Don't move. Scream if you need help." With that, Niki ran out, not before picking up a sword in the room's corner and pulling out her shield. Anika watched her leave until she was just a dot in the distance until she disappeared.

Notes: My apologies for being away for so long! I had some issues I had to settle in my personal life and ended up going on an unannounced break. I'm so sorry that this chapter is really short, at least not up to my usual standards. Oh and guys, do any of you know how to handle mentally insane people? I was in school climbing the stairs, and this random group of people started screaming their hands off for absolutely no reason at all-
P.S. My eardrums are dead-
