Ali's eyes widened, staying completely silent and still, thinking of an excuse to get herself out of here.
"What a coincidence," Natalie mocked, smiling sweetly at Ali, "You said the same thing to Kenneth at Patrick's barn."
"Well then, Joyce died in a locked room! Remember? Explain how I did that then!" Ali was now frantic, her face clearly full of panic. She wanted to get out of this mess; she didn't want to stay here any longer. This was getting out of hand. There was no way that Natalie would figure out how Joyce died. No way... right?
"Simple. We were all in your car going home that afternoon. You handed a bottle of water to Joyce before she left. Little did we know, there was a large dose of sleeping pills inside. However, since Joyce had the habit of eating sleeping pills, the police didn't find it suspicious. A sleeping pill usually lasts for four to eight hours. Therefore, when we arrived at her place three hours later, she was still asleep. You were the first to arrive in Joyce's room that evening. You fed her strychnine, causing her heart to stop instantly."
"Where did I get the strychnine?" Ali laughed nervously, trying to fight back.
"The chemical lab. You sneaked around the corner during the lesson."
Ali nodded. "Go on, how did I kill Patrick?"
Natalie sighed. "You followed Patrick home that night after we parted. Which is why you did not turn on your camera twice during the video call. After you killed him, you hid in the concave corner in the shed and waited for us to come. You swung the black cloth from left to right after tying a string on the other side. You fooled us it was the Grim Reaper who killed them. Afterwards, you climbed out of the window you had previously broken and got out. You bypassed the shed and acted like you just got here."
"This is complete bullshit! What about Max? I was there with you guys!"
"Simple, you just bumped him into the elevator, turned around and acted like you were there the whole time. As the elevator was malfunctioning, it would be unable to detect anything between the closing doors."
"Hahahah, this is such a joke. How would the elevator still be able to move? How did I know the elevator was malfunctioning? How did I know Max was going to the elevator? Why would no one see me when I bumped into him? This is just plain ridiculous." Ali argued.
"People were too shaken by the gory body to remember why Max fell. When Max video called, you were fiddling with some sort of machine. You damaged the wires on purpose." Natalie explained. Then she turned to Kenneth, "If you see the lights flickered and the place becomes dimmer. What will your first reaction be?"
Kenneth pondered for a moment. "I will try to leave as soon as possible." He replied, as the truth slowly dawned upon him.
"Exactly, that was why Max went to the elevator in the first place. He wanted to leave."
Seeing that the truth was slowly being uncovered, Ali made one last futile attempt. "How would I know how to make an elevator malfunction?"
"You are smart enough to use strychnine, and now you are telling me you aren't smart enough to damage a few wires? Besides, the auto detect and travel functions of an elevator are connected with different cables." Natalie shrugged. "Stop making excuses. It's pathetic. Just admit it." She added.
