The walk back to Matt's apartment was strangely quiet, you assumed it was due to Matt trying to listen to every single noise in the city. He was already injured and couldn't protect himself let alone you if you were both ambushed. "You didn't tell me you lived so close by" You absently traced your finger along the brick wall to your right.
"You weren't supposed to see inside my evil lair" you chuckled, light hearted Matt slowly returning. You laughed and reached to move a drop of impending rain off Matt's shoulder. His body tensed just the tiniest bit before he relaxed again, you withdrew your hand quickly.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you" he glanced over his shoulder at you.
"I'm too busy listening for incoming threats, I thought I could trust you." his voice laced with face sadness a smirk graced his lips. The stair case leading to his apartment was the only choice for you two to take.
"usually we'd have to scale the building and come in the skylight, but I'd probably ruin your incredible stitches" you held the front door open for you, like the gentleman he always was.
"Why thank you Matt, I couldn't scale a building if I tried" you half scoffed, this boy was something else. He suddenly pushed you around the corner and pinned you both to the wall. You turned to look at him his face inches from yours, his eyes were planted on the floor clearly listening to the footsteps from the person down the hall.
He was still so sweaty and his bearded face drew against yours as he turned to look at you. Your breathing was heavy and he was initially puzzled before he moved away slightly, the smirk imminent. He whispered into the space between you both "there gone" before moving his hand to yours and guiding back down the hallway. You were beyond stunned, your feet trudging slowly behind him being moved forward.
Finally he stopped in front of a door and turned the handle. All the lights in the apartment were off and it felt weird for you to turn them on, almost like this is how Matt wanted you to see his living space, to see him in the eerie dark, the way he liked it. He noticed your hesitation before moving to put his cane down by the door.
"Feel free to turn lights on" his head was turned towards yours and when the light switched on it was almost symbolic. You were finally seeing Matt's apartment, you were finally seeing Matt in the light as well. His apartment was sparsely decorated and the lack of décor oddly made sense. Well aside form the whole blind thing, Matt didn't seem like the décor type of guy.
"Just how i imagined it" you half mumbled to yourself, which of course he heard.
"What empty and mismatched" he defiantly couldn't see then, everything was similar tones of grey or beige and it all matched perfectly. You shook your head and you knew he could see that, in his own weird way.
"No actually it matches perfectly, it matches you perfectly, it all has a designated place and everything has an immediate purpose. Organised and functional just like you and your wardrobe and the way you speak." you trailed of suddenly incredibly aware that you were rambling and most likely making things weird.
Matt was smiling, his teeth were white and perfect too, they way he carried himself was so distinct you felt so disorganised and messy.
Matt didn't tell you that the reason he had to be so organised was because of his inner chaos, the devil that darkened and tainted everything. He wanted so badly to make you feel better by telling you all about his dark and all consuming thoughts or the way that your smile made that inner party of him that all but screamed all day long, almost quiet. He knew better then to scare you off, because that's what it would do. Matt was being selfish, he didn't want to scare you off so he could keep you, maybe not forever, but for just a little while longer.
"I'll take the couch" you stated loudly, he smiled and shook his head.
"from what I understand from my living room...." he pointed to the huge neon sign flashing in through the window, "no you wont" you turned to him defeated.
"If I leave you out here, do you swear not to go galivanting in your pyjamas Mr. Murdock" He half heartedly laughed and nodded before leading you into his bedroom.
"This is all yours to use as you like, the bed and the bathroom." He was always so thoughtful. You loved the way Matt always thought about everyone but himself. Actually he never thought of himself and that was suddenly your priority.
"If you want me to sleep in the bed, you have to too!" his eyebrows shot up
"you want me to share the bed with you?" he seemed almost surprised by the request, like you both hadn't made out on your couch or in the hallway of your apartment, or in your head. Many times.
"Yes, yes I do. It's detrimental to your health!" he smiled the tiniest bit before nodding his head agreeing. You were both grown adults, you could control yourself. Matt was an impenetrable wall when it came to his wants so he didn't even consider it being an issue for him. You knew this was going to be so much harder then you thought when he slowly lifted his shirt and his abs and tan skin lied under it. The way the boy moved with so much grace as he got into the bed, your cheeks were bright red and the fire in your lower belly was raging.
Matt realised how hard it was going to be, literally, when he pulled the sheets back that you were already comfortable lying underneath. The sweet smell of you and your arousal along with the comfortable warmth you were emitting was enough to make him groan on the spot. He knew he was the cause of it, his shirt being removed let it slowly waft over to him and filled his nostrils.
But you were both adults! What could go wrong.....
