you and I will always be unfinished business

<no>
you answered but then turned to the side and hid your face in your hands
<I mean... yes... well... maybe>
you didn't really know what was going on inside your head. Namjoon sighed and got up from his seat kneeling down next to you.
his hands softly brushed against yours as he took your palms off your eyes
<you are still confused Y/n, maybe I asked you the wrong question. let's take this a step back. I will give you another question to think about before our next session>
Namjoon was right. seeing Jimin from another perspective made you even more confused.
on one hand, you had your friend with benefits for a lot of years. you grew up together and you developed a little crush for him. Taehyung was so similar to you, he was like your own masculine version. your lives were basically the same.
on the other hand, there was a man with an amazing personality and an exciting past. some parts of him were still a mystery to you and you could spend hours talking with him and trying to find that out. Jimin lived a life you had only seen in movies and it made a shiver of adrenaline run down your spine.
<think about the reason why you actually don't want to sell those shares>
Namjoon got up and noted it down in the notebook. you sat up straight
<you are a genius Namjoon>
a smile crept on your lips as you clasped his cheeks in your hands and placed a loud kiss on his left cheek
<that was gross>
he commented making you roll your eyes but he didn't see it since you were already on the doorstep of his apartment
his question, or maybe better to call it "homework", made something in your brain click.
you thought that you could think about whether you love the boy or not directly without taking any sideways.
you were wrong.
now you knew you needed to analyze situations and feelings you didn't think about before.
you went back to your house and took your dog before leaving for a walk.
you loved Central Park. it always felt so calming. you finally felt like you could breathe when you were there.
of course, there were lots of people, people who made a lot of noise, but you still liked the noise of people happily chatting with each other and enjoying their day more than the noise of cars passing by and stressed people shouting nervously at strangers for stupid things.
you let your dog free to play in a corner with other dogs and you sat down on the grass.
sat down just for a second, your back started aching soon so you laid down on it.
the breeze of late September moved caressed the exposed skin of your tummy as the shirt you had raised a little. you had no intention to fix it down tho, the tickling feeling was too pleasant.
your mind wandered over what Namjoon had asked you both times.
did you love Taehyung?
you could say "no". it was easier and the problem would have been solved in a minute. but you didn't. because you didn't want to lie to yourself.
you didn't know if you could call it love, you felt a little sad when you heard he was getting married but you didn't know how to name that feeling.
were you disappointed he didn't warn you before?
were you mad?
jealous?
did you want to be in Leonor's place?
hell no. that was the only sure thing in this whole situation. you didn't want to be his bride. you didn't want to marry him. Taehyung has always been nothing more than great sex and some sweet moments. nothing other than that.
you had never looked at him like a possible boyfriend or husband.
why didn't you want to give up the shares?
well, you didn't want to stay away from Taehyung. but if you didn't love him, why did you want to stay close to him?
you groaned and covered your face with your hands. it was so annoying.
you knew you had the answers somewhere inside of you but you didn't know how to bring them out.
you wanted to keep the shares because you wanted to keep being part of the company, which automatically meant part of Taehyung's life.
Kim Cruise wasn't crucial for you. at the end of the day, you were also a shareholder of your father's jewelry company and it brought you even more income than Kim Cruise could ever do.
it wasn't about money. and you knew it. there was something more powerful than money which led to your decision.
if you got rid of the shares in Taehyung's company you would become CEO of your family's. your father always told you to finally leave that company and go back to your own but you pushed the upcoming day further every time. you always told him you didn't think Taehyung was stable enough.
and it was true, before his father's death Taehyung had never worked a day in his life and suddenly a whole company fell on his shoulders. he was a mess at business.
then there was Jimin. you met him only four days ago but he already was living in your mind rent-free. is not like you could ask him to pay rent for that, he had enough economic struggles on his own.
that's another point that made you admire him, he was such an angel. maybe he wasn't in the past, but who cares when it's already long gone.
you loved the way he approached life and felt as if you needed someone like him to brighten up your own.
Jimin was facing a lot of struggles but still got through them all with a positive mindset.
now you felt the need to see him. you knew where Jimin and Silvie lived as you dropped them off a couple of hours ago.
you called over your dog and walked back home. Leaving Jackie in your apartment you took your car keys and drove to one of the worst places in New York. it was treated extremely badly and the people leaving there weren't the safest to be around.
you wondered how could Jimin live there with a little kid and not fear for her.
you hated the place but you didn't care.
you needed, well... no... just wanted, to see Jimin and that couldn't stop you at all.
