As a large school bus pulls up to the academy, Seokjin and Jungkook start to walk out of the main entrance. Throughout the day Jungkook would pick up Seokjin from his classes and then lead him to his next ones. Jungkook even offered to wait with Seokjin for his mother to pick him up. The school bus doors open revealing students with sports uniforms coming out, all of them from different years and sports equipment.
A male with light brown hair comes out of the bus with a gold medal around his neck, a tennis racket in his hands and a duffel bag hanging off his shoulder. He walks to the school entrance to pick up his things and then head home, Seokjin and Jungkook walking in his path. Jungkook sees the light brown haired male, his feet make a sudden halt, Seokjin stubbles from the abrupt motion.
"What is it?" Seokjin asks, seeing Jungkook's expression of uneasiness.
"A complication, that's all," Jungkook's eyes seem to catch the strangers attention, and with that lead his eyes to Seokjin.
"Seokjin!" The light haired drops his racket and sprints towards the two. Seokjin hears his name and sees the unknown come running towards him, "Who is that," He asks Jungkook. Before he can answer however, the stranger envelopes Seokjin in a gripping embrace.
"Hoseok, could you let him breathe," Jungkook suggests.
Hoseok loosens his grip but only to look at Seokjin's face, he's confused but astonished to see him. Hoseok thought Seokjin was a vegetable, for months he grieved for his friend. "How are you here, I thought you would never come back," Hoseok sounds out of breath, almost on the verge of tears.
Seokjin doesn't know what to do, he doesn't know who this person is, so he looks to Jungkook for answers. Hoseok see's Seokjin's confusion, he doesn't understand why Seokjin isn't jumping for joy seeing him or laughing it off like he used to. Hoseok is also increasingly perplexed by Jungkook's presence, when he's warned him several times to stay away from Seokjin.
"Jin, this is Jung Hoseok, you guys used to be friends."
"Oh," he expresses sadness towards Hoseok, feeling sorry for him.
"Seokjin, don't you remember—" Hoseok stops himself, 'I'm so stupid,' he tells himself. "Fuck, I messed up,"
A large honk starles all three of them, Seokjin sees a black van at the entrance. "That's my mom," He announces and carefully moves away from Hoseok. "I should go,"
"I'll see you tomorrow, right here," Jungkook quickly says. Seokjin nods and runs to his mom's car. Jungkook and Hoseok watch Jin get into the van and as it disappears past the academy gates.
Hoseok's jaw clenches, unable to convey his feelings of disappointment and stupidity. He's ashamed of himself. "Did he remember you?" Hoseok asks.
"No,"
"Then maybe you should have kept it that way," Hoseok remarks.
"I could say the same for you, your friends with the asshole who started all this," Jungkook puts a finger into Hoseok's shoulder.
"At least I'm not friends with a certain someone who broke his heart. Honestly it's pathetic how you're trying so hard to look like the good guy," Hoseok slaps Jungkook's hand away.
