| I GOTTA FIND
PEACE OF MIND
by LAURYN HILL!╚═══════════════╝
"i'll be back tomorrow, thank you so much for watching her," madison hands her sleeping daughter to her brother in law.
"anytime, drive safe!" liangelo smiles as she runs out to her car, under the impression she had an emergency meeting.
"thanks!" she waves, getting into her car and heading back home.
| THE BALL HOUSE...
the soft and soothing voice of cleo sol echoes through the main level of the house, while lamelo and madison sit at the dining room table. he devours the baked salmon, rice and sautéed asparagus she prepared for him as she maintains a blank stare from the other end of the table, arms folded and rested on the edge. her elbow sat next to her untouched glass of wine.
it was about ten and he'd just returned home. but she wouldn't let that bother her, it was nowhere near the first time he hadn't held up his end of the bargain. and it definitely wasn't the worst he could have done.
shit, look at what madison knows. too much, if you ask lamelo. especially being that she knows more than him, because he has no clue about all that she knows. not one clue.
"you did 'ya thing on this, bae. thank you."
she doesn't reply, but when she feels him look up at her she looks at the table. she couldn't look lamelo in the eyes. knowing what she now knows, she was almost overwhelmed with the feeling of disgust.
"i said thank you," he sits straight up.
"i'm not deaf," madison quietly replies, getting up to rid the wine she had no intention of drinking.
"the fuck wrong 'witchu?" he furrows his eyebrows, eyes following her.
she stops and sighs, "i just, this whole having to go to la last minute, it's inconvenient. i'm just irritated, i apologize." she lies, still not looking at him.
he shrugs and leans back, "you straight. where's laney?"
"took her over gelo's, cause you came home later than promised," madison hesitates to pour the expensive alcohol in the sink. she decides not to, but she grabs the shuffled stack of photos, "you wanna look at these pictures that came in today?"
