I was originally a student at Beauxbatons, but transferred to attend Hogwarts in my 5th year after falling completely in love with the school during my brief stay during the tri wizard tournament.

I began my first day like how everyone else began their first days at Hogwarts. At Kings Cross station. Me and my mum arrived at Kings Cross early then necessary, and by that I mean a whole 2 hours before. The train was to leave at 11 but my mum was such a stressed head she wanted to make sure everything was perfect and there was no way possible for me to miss the Hogwarts express by any means. Me and my mum sat in a little coffee shop opposite the grand white spiral dome entrance to the station. I sat by the window and watched as the world went by while my mum went and bought me an iced coffee. I noticed a family walking past whose mother did not seem impressed by the loud raucous that her two tallest sons were making. I mean I wasn't surprised I could hear them from the other side of the road from where I was sitting inside. "Whoa feel bad for that woman, 5 kids she's got and 4 of them boys. God." My mum said to me as she came over with our drinks, noticing that I was watching the family from afar. "Yes, I know hell it must be," I replied. I looked back at the family one last time to look at her youngest son trailing behind his ginger hair almost glowing in the wind. He was an extremely cute looking boy, probably cuter if he smiled. He looked miserable, slowly dragging his feet and his bag along the ground.I recognised him but I just couldn't think of where. "Harry Potter's friend!" I exclaimed. "Who?" my mother asked. My Mum wasn't a witch, and neither was my Dad, so I'm what you consider in the wizarding world a 'mud-blood', so my mum had no idea the importance of who in fact Harry Potter was and how big of a celebrity he was. I just looked at her and giggled and told her not to worry about it.

After we had finished our drinks it wasn't too long until I was set to depart and my mum walked over to the station carrying my bags and me holding Kermit. Kermit was my pet frog. He was a green tree frog, I know he wasn't a toad and the rules state toads not frogs but they are basically the same thing except frogs are a lot less ugly versions of toads. We walked into the station and down the tracks, we stood on the bridge looking over the platforms looking for where platform 9 3/4 was, but there was no sign of it anywhere I mean obviously it had to hidden somewhere they aren't just gonna have a platform in plain sight infront of all these muggles that goes straight to a magical school now are they. We went down and stood in between platform 9 and 10 looking around for some sign or indication of where I was meant to go. A ticket officer walked past and I thought fuck it I'll ask maybe he's an undercover wizard whos here to help new students. He wasn't. He looked at me so confused and almost frustrated with me, "Is that a bloody joke miss? I get this every bloody year, how dumb can people get, there is still no bleeding platform 9 3/4!" he shouted at me. I stood in shock looking at him not knowing what to do with myself when I heard a soft speaking voice from behind me say, "I can help". I turned around to see a short girl with beautiful blonde almost white hair wearing a long hippie white dress and some strange peculiar pink glasses on head. She had the prettiest biggest smile that instantly made me feel at ease. "Luna lovegood," she said, putting out her hand for me to shake. "Y/N ," I replied, shaking her small soft hand. "New student I assume, no worries I'll show u how u get to the platform and don't want to miss the train," she said softly. I followed her mother to an archway pillar in between the two platforms and she explained to me how to get to the platform. "YOU RUN AT THE WALL," my mum exclaimed, "this is crazy, surely this is a joke, you are having us on, no way in heaven am I running at this wall!" I giggled at my mum's dramatics and mouthed to Luna, "muggles" and she giggled too. I grabbed my mum's hand quickly and pulled and ran with her before she had time to realize surely enough we had run through the wall and into the train station.
