Chapter 5 : Battle to the Finish! Lost Luinor

Everyone was silent. Noone dared to talk during the tension.

"Excuse me?! What's the big idea? I earned my spot here like everyone else." Shinki says.

"Maybe but your times up . You doubted yourself against bladers like him." Lui says when he looked at Shu.

Y/n stood up which earned Ken's attention.

"Where are you going?" Besu says .

Y/n looked back at Lui and looked away.
She hummed and motioned to leave.

She started to walked out when she suddenly heard Valt speak , earning her to look back.

"Lui! I dare you to take me on. Right here right now."

Lui just ignored it and walked away together with Gabe to Rideout's team.

Y/n looked at Shu in pity and squinted her eyebrows.

After that Y/n left the place...to who knows where inside thee building.

Back to the Bayclub.

After they decided that Valt will battle the fourth round.

The two bladers were now standing against each other in the arena. Valt's just kept blabbering to Lui.
Lui just ignored him and started to look around.

Rideout noticed this.

"Hey Gabe. Lui seems to be looking for something." The black-haired member said.

Gabe looked at Lui then he looked at the seat that Y/n originally was and realised she left.

He sighed.

"It's probably nothing." He replied .

The others just stared at Lui.

"If Valt can't give Lui a battle , hell just walked away like always."

"Valt's got Lui's undivided attention." Gabe says.

"So? I don't get it."

"He's saying it doesn't happen very often."

",Huh?"

"The type of guy that just walked out. It's hard to get his attention and if he loses interest it's over."

"Huh? How could we respect a guy who doesn't stay on his own matches. I don't know why you think of him so much, Gabe. It doesn't make any sense to me at all."

"No. I don't suppose it would."

"Gabe. I think it's time to tell him."

"Probably ... I think the time he spent overseas gave an impact on his intense personality. I meet him not too long ago, only a little while after he moved back home.

Everyone in class was curious about him cause his different. But noone could put up a nerve to talk to him.

They say he looked mad all the time, but to he looked like he is lost in his own world, as if he has other things in his mind."

"Wow. Now I feel sorry for him."

Gabe continued.
"Back then I practiced day and night in the Bayclub. One day he came by, and just stood still and stare like he always does. After that he started showing up everyday. He watched me practice nonstop. I still found it tough to talk to him... One day...

He asked me to battle him.

It seems to me you formed a bond to your bay. My kind of opponent.

That's what he said. At first I thought he was joking then I realised he was the real deal.
Not long after that he went out on his wins treak on the nationals and meet Y/n Aoi midway. You already meet her at the training center together with Beigoma academy Bayclub.

Y/n is who he respected the most as a fellow blader. The only person that could keep up with his training. But she suddenly left, making him train even more than before.

His relationship with Luinor is the important thing in his life that's why he's intense. That's what he looks for in a blader."

"You forgot to say he's a pain ."

"True...normally he won't be out there but times different now."Gabe replies.

"Maybe he's doing it on a whim?"

"No... everything he does is calculated decision." Gabe said.

The match is finally starting.

Y/n is inside a room with a bay stadium. She sat on the floor watching the match on the tv.

Both Lui and Valt launched and just as always, Luinor came for an attack on Valtryk. It was unexpected but Valtryk was able to dodge Luinor.

Y/n stood up in surprised. Not believing what happened .

Luinor came for another attack and burst Valtryk.

Y/n shook her head and decided to return to watch the next battle with her own eyes. She hastly left the room.

She returned being able to witness Valt sliding his face on the floor and complimented Lui for winning just after he lost against him. It was very shocking for everyone.

Y/n giggled slightly and walked towards the front seat. Her step ecoing every step.

She sat on her seat smirking.
"It was expected but, it got my attention." Y/n suddenly says.

Ken heard her.
"Your back."

"I wanted peace and quiet... I just went to a room." She replies.

With Rideout...

"Good job out there." Gabe says to Lui.

Lui didn't reply and just drank his water.

Lui looked back at Y/n's seat and locked eyes with her. His eyes her wide, it was unexpected. He thought she wasn't there. He felt embarrassed and his ears were slightly pink.

He looked away with a 'hmp'.

Gabe just 'huh?' at Lui suddenly turning away.

"Well either send Gabe or Lui and we're sure have a predicted victory."

Gabe smiled.
"I'm honored but It's best to send out Lui for the next match."

Back to Y/n

Rideout will probably send out Lui to battle and The Bayclub? Probably Shu...

The next battle is starting and the bladers for each team walked towards the stadium. As expected by Y/n, Lui went out.
She looked at The Bayclub to expect Shu but...it was none other than Valt that showed up.

Rideout expected Shu to be sent out to battle but out of all , they sent Valt Aoi to battle against Lui Shirosagi.

What?!
Is what Y/n thought.

It was not offensive but Y/n knows that Valt can't win against Lui with his present strength. She cares for Valt a lot but she is biased in the matched and knows that Lui will be the winner in the match.
