Hii, it's been awhile since I've updated this, and I apologize for that. This will be the last part, so you won't have to worry about waiting any longer for the rest of the story. I'm very sorry for the long wait and I hope you like the ending 😨.
[Monday Morning]
Gus's POV:
"Alright Augustus, today is the day!" I tell myself.
I grab all my stuff and head out the door, flying to school on my staff.
I walk over to my locker and put my things away, then I look around and try to find Mattholomule.
Eventually I notice him standing by Amity, so I decide to go over and talk to him.
"Hi Matty!" I say to him while smiling, even though I'm really nervous.
"Oh, hey Augustus.." he replies.
I clear my throat.
"Soo um.. there's something I need to talk to you about" I whisper to him.
Amity notices and backs away quietly.
"What is it?" he asks, seeming a bit intrigued.
"Well uh, you know how we were talking about our crushes and stuff?" I say.
I watch as his face and ears turn a bit red.
"Yeah, what about it?" he responds while looking away, sounding a bit defensive.
"Well.. the person I have a crush on is.." I begin to tell him, but he suddenly interrupts me.
"Wait! B-before you tell me, there's something you should know.." he says in a quiet voice.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"Um.. the person I like is you.." he whispers.
My face lights up.
So he really did confess his feelings for me right in front of me that day-
"I don't know if you like me back or not, but I figured that you should know that.. sorry if you don't wanna talk to me anymore or something.."
I start to giggle.
"What's so funny?" he asks me.
"Matty, I like you too." I finally tell him after laughing for a bit.
"Really?" he starts to smile.
"Of course!" I respond.
"Well.. do you wanna be my.. boyfriend?"
"Yes!" I exclaim.
I kiss his cheek and start holding hands with him.
I quickly rush over to Luz and the others with him, and they start to smile.
"Well, look at you two." Willow says.
"I knew it would happen eventually" Luz replies.
I giggle as Mattholomule looks away in embarrassment.
The bells go off and I wave goodbye to Matty and the others as I head to class.
