"your teddy bear?" Murdoch asked, doing his best to suppress his laughter.
Lightoller on the other hand turned his back to them, putting his hands on his mouth to stop laughing at his poor friend.
"where and when did you last saw it?" Murdoch asked, losing his control after each passing seconds.
"on my nightstand, last night before I went to bed" Moody replied, his face resembling a tomato.
"did you checked all your quarter?"
"yes"
"you sure?"
"yes"
"this is bad" Murdoch murmured to himself  "this is terrible"
Murdoch's panic didn't help Moody's embarrassment in the slightest.
He noticed that Lightoller was walking away from them, Murdoch barely managed to grab his arm and pulled him back.
"where you think you are going?" Murdoch hissed
"while you are busy panicking, I will go and get the rest to search for Mr Fluff"
"who?"
"Wild, Pitman, Lowe and Boxhall"
"no one else out of them should know" Murdoch confirmed. "if anyone else learns about it, all of us are doomed"
"but..."  moody tried to protest but Lightoller held his hand up to shut him.
"don't say a word" Lightoller interrupted him. "you should have been more careful"

the three officers headed to the bridge, Lowe was still there along with Mr. Wild.  Lightoller had to shove Moody forward as he refused to go inside the wheelhouse, but moody catched the edge of the door, holding for dear life. Murdoch prayed his fingers off the edge and cloed the door behind the three of them. Wild was just watching, wondering if the young officer had pulled another prank and the two older officers had couht him red handed.

"is every thing alright?" Wild asked, putting down his cup of tea on the side desk.

"can you please leave us alone?" murdoch asked the helmsman, who obliged and went out. Lightoller took the helm and kept it steady.  "we have a problem, big one!"

"what is it?" Wild was alarmed

"he lost his Mr. Fluff" Murdoch pointed to moody "his teddy bear" he added after the confused looks on his friends face. Lowe was looking at Wild now, waiting for the seniro to start loughing first. but he wasnt, he was scared in fact.

"you lost it? how?" he asked

"i dont know, it was right beside me when i fell a sleep, it wasnt there this mornign"

"where did you get it from?"

"my granny made it for me"

"what dose that had to do with our problem?" Murdoch asked "we have to find it before anyone else, or we will have to change our names, and run away to work elsewhere. i am prety sure white star wont want some childish men as officers of thier best ship"

"you dont get it william!" Wild replied. there was unmistaken fear and urgency in his vocie. "it is not about our reputation alone! what if.... it .... it was....." he looked around, like to check if there was any stanger "possessed?" he added at the end.

"Possessed?" Murdoch asked again, maybe his ear was meesing with him, sure thing a grwon man with enough entelegnce to be the chife officer of titanic wont belive in ghosts and possession. right?

"yes" Wild replied.

"uh....." moody was also the type that believed in ghost stories, and now scared on top of being embaressed "so i ... kept a possessed .... teddy bear in my quarter....? all these years?"

"of for goodness sake!" Lightoller had enough of these two already. "you two cant be serius?"

"we shouldnt have came here" Murdoch sighed "what about you Lowe? you belive ghosts had possessed Mr. Fluff?"

"no..... that would be easyily fixed." Lowe said, vocie calm, but he looked nervous "what if one of the crew or worse, the passenegers had taken it?"
