Murdoch and Lightoller exchanged a worried glance.

"oh boy....." they murmured.

"ok, Wild and Moody will remain on the bridge" Murdoch ordered. it wasn't for him to order Mr. Wild, but considering his current condition, he wasn't fit at all. "Light and I will head out and look for it, I will check with the passengers and lights will check with the crew. Lowe you are remain here in case someone showed up with the teddy bear."

"ok...." Lowe said slowly, if the bear was in anyone's hand, they already know. what should he or they do to keep it under the rug?

"we need one story, there is a little girl in New York's orphanage that asked Moody to get her a teddy bear from over the sea. and that teddy bear is now missing. he kept it in his cabin,  to keep a promis he made to the little girl. what he was doing there in the first palce? moody like to donate to the orphanages and play with the kids when he had time. that is how she know him. any question?" Murdoch asked. all were surprized at how he managed to build and entier sotry from scrach in a minute.

"no" they replied.

lightoller and murdoch headed out, each for difrent direction of the ship. murdoch walked into first class passenger's dinning area and looked around, they were serving lunch by then and all the kids were at the tables with thier families. he walked to the reception .

"did anyone report any missing things?" he asked.

"no sir" the receptionist answered.

"thank you. have a goof day" murdoch said and left. heading toward the childcare room. if anyone had find  the teddy bear, it has a great chance of being taken there. he couldnt walk in there without scaring the childer, so he had to be creatvi abotu it. waiting outside of the room till one of the nannies came.

"good mornign sir" she greeted him

"Good mornign miss" he bowed sligthyl. "did you came here all days?" he asked

"yes sir"

"can you plases check if there is any new teddy bears there?"

"oh, poor kid. they must be crying thier eyes out" she said, thinking that one of the passsenegr's kid had lost thier teddy bear and the officer was now looking for it now. "of course sir, i will check"

she went in and came back after about 10 minutes

"no sir, there isnt any new one." she told him "but i will being any new teddy bear to the officers if anyone brought it in"

"thank you miss." he bowed again with a fake smile. "have a nice day" he said and walked away. he hoped that she didnt see the fear behind his fake smile. heading toward the sEcond class passenegrs, but not so much luck there either. he headed to the third class but again nothing cought his eyes. the worst part of this was that no one had ever seen the teddy bear so they have no idea what it looks like.

Lightoller didnt have much better luck with the crew, he first went to check with the cleaning staff, one of them said that they eneterd the cabin of the officers and had it cleaned. but there was nothign out of ordinary.

the rest of the crew had not even came up there. he went back to the brdige, and met Murdoch on his way.

"any luck?" Lowe asked the two officers, despite no need for him to ask as the grim expersion on thier faces told the asnwer

"nothing" william replied

"i got something, last night, or maybe at dawn. cleaned up the cabins, but they didnt saw anything out of normal" Lightoller told his share.

"so someone had took it before .... mornign shift" Lowe said. "but every one was either on thier shifts, or asleep."

"i will go check with the Mr. pitman and boxhall." murdoch said, leaving the wheelhouse.

"talking about others, dose the captain know?" Lightoller asked

"what will you think he would say if he finds out?" Lowe replied "lets hope he wont learn about it at all"
