Takemichi woke up smelling freshly cooked fried rice.
Entranced, Takemichi heads downstairs to the kitchen and there he sees his older brother, serving fried rice with scrambled egg.
Takemichi sits down at the table and takes a look at his bowl, it had fried rice as the main dish with a scrambled egg on top and sliced avocados on the side, he assumes it was the same for his brother as well.
Eating breakfast was awkward for the both of them, especially after the argument they had last night.
With no one breaking the silence, they continued to eat their breakfast. They were never really the type of siblings to make up fast, it was their youngest sibling who'd do that job for them, but with them gone no doubt it would be hard for them to comfortably talk to each other, that is, unless one them were to swallow up their pride and apologize first.
"Takemichi" the older finally calls out.
Takemichi snapped his head up almost immediately out of surprise.
"..."
"I'm sorry about last night..." Taro pauses before apologizing.Takemichi expected this, of course, he did. He wouldn't have had enough confidence in saying they're brothers otherwise.
"I just... Wanted you to stay safe- and I was worried Yeri would do something to your friends if I didn't say we're moving... I should've let you decide for yourself, you deserve freedom from us too after all"
This, this Takemichi did not expect, his brother never was the type to dwell on the past nor was he ever the type to admit to being or even be controlling- but now, his brother just apologized to him for being too tight on him.
Panicking, Takemichi also took the blame for himself "N-no! I'm sorry for not trying to understand you better- I should've just listened to you too after all,... I just thought it was unfair..."
Silence covered their surroundings again. It was suffocating and awkward, yeah, but no one dared break the silence between them, somehow finding comfort in it.
"I- I should take a bath now..." Takemichi stuttered out before immediately leaving to go to his room, eager to get out of the awkward situation he was in.
Dragging his towel and clothes with him, he walked inside his bathroom and turned his shower on. He let his mind wander off-though not too far, to get lost in his thoughts- when his mind hit a certain topic.
When did this happen? He doesn't remember when his siblings ever interjected themselves willfully in his matters in every timeline he's visited, not even anyone from each timeline was aware he had an older brother much less a family... Not even Naoto... Everyone thought he was just an only child living far away from his parents, and, as far as he knew his siblings stopped being too protective of him since his first life when he turned... he assumes when he suddenly disappeared on everyone back then, maybe? Should he tell Naoto about this?
It was suspicious enough that he time-leaped without any activation like when he first found out he can time travel-no... His time traveling that time activated when he was supposed to have died. However, this time... Nothing activated it- he was just dozing off finding a way to save Mikey from his dark impulse at the hospital after he got beaten up by Mikey himself- when he out of nowhere was back to when Mikey and Draken met him a second time. He was confused, of course, he was, it's to be expected, before the confusion could swallow him whole, he noticed Mikey dragging him with him and Draken. And it's been a few weeks since then...
Takemichi was brought out of his thoughts when he heard knocking at his bathroom door. "Michi? You good there? It's been a while since you went inside the bathroom, and your shower hasn't turned off either, I'm worried you might get flooded and drown" His brother's voice spoke out.
The blonde started panicking and turned his shower off before replying to his brother, "A-ah! Right! Sorry- I doze off a little" His voice sounded more panicky even after trying his best to sound calm.
Quickly wrapping himself with a towel, Takemichi rushes to open his door and greets his brother with a cartoonish forced smile, the older gave him a judging look as they both stood there in silence.
Not liking the awkwardness, Takemichi took the silence as a chance to take a good look at what his brother was wearing.
His brother was wearing a black turtleneck tank top with a dark red checkered shirt buttoned up halfway- showcasing his tank top and bare slightly tanned shoulders- and tucked in his dark sweatpants. Interesting fashion, given his usual fashion style, if Takemichi says so himself.
Though curious, Takemichi decided it was best not to pry on his brother's business, whether it be about something stupid or personal enough for him to have to know, he'll let his brother open up to him about it when he's ready, he'll just have to wait for the time to come, after all, that's how his brother has always been.
"You ready? Let's go, I'll drop you off at your school" Taro interrupts, turning away and leaving his little brother to get his motorbike ready.
Takemichi gets his stuff before following behind his older brother.
Once the brothers got to the younger's school, Takemichi soullessly gets off of his brother's motorbike, looking traumatized.
once Takemichi completely got off, Taro immediately left as if he was in a rush.
When Taro was near to being out of sight, Takemichi's friends came in.
"Takemichi!" Said boy turned to where the sound was coming from and saw Akkun with the rest of Mizo mid behind him.
"Who was that?" Makoto asked looking in the direction the black-haired adult disappeared to.
"Are you okay? You look like your soul left your body" Takuya asked the blonde, worried. Not long after Takuya voiced his worries did Takemichi start puking, his right hand holding onto Takuya for support and his left arm gripping the cloth of his uniform.
The Mizo Mid crew sweatdropped at Takemichi's current condition and waited for him to recover.
Once they saw that Takemichi has recovered, they dragged him to class so they wouldn't get scolded for being late.
"So who was that guy that dropped you off here?" Yamagishi asked the question the others were eager to know the answer to, as they took a sit surrounding the bleach blonde boy.
"Ah, you guys remember when I told you guys I have siblings a year ago?" The boys nodded in response.
"Well... That's our oldest sibling, Taro-nii" Everything around seemed to have quieted, ignoring the noises their classmates would often make.
"Oh, so that's why he looked familiar" Takuya mutters "He's changed a lot since I last saw him" He added.
"Now, Why was he in a rush?" Makoto questioned.
Takemichi shrugged before answering "I don't know, A date maybe?"
Their conversation was cut short when the teacher made her presence known.
