The carriage came to a halt, and I jolted awake almost falling onto the ground. My body gets pushed back against the seat by his forearm. "Be careful" Jed said under his breath, a slight blush crossing his face as I tell him thank you. "Don't lay on me next time that was annoying, I couldn't move well you were like that" He said, rolling his eyes at me. 'But he could move if he wanted too? He just would've woken me up. Maybe he didn't want to interrupt my sleep. Wait how long has he been awake?' I was sat stunned at the fact he cared. Suddenly the carriage door swings open, "Sir, we have arrived" A man says, looking at Jed and I close to each other and he raises his eyebrow.
Jed shifts away from me, standing up and ordering me to follow him. His voice coming off as more harsh now that we were accompanied by others presence. I take the step down and out of the carriage, laying my foot on the soil of Pylos. It's beautiful, such exquisite scenery. The castle was patterned in a blue and purple pattern, and rose high up into the skies. The buildings surrounding me were much more colorful then that of my own Kingdom. I never knew such beauty existed outside of Lolcos. For the longest time my parents would deceive me by telling me stories off the horrors of the outside world and how ugly it is. But laid out in front of me, is a beauty I never imagined to experience. I was so drawn into the scenery that I hadn't noticed that Jed and his men had already began walking away. "Hurry up" I hear one of the men scuff at me, giving me a side eye.
I followed behind, still in my bloody slippers and nightgown. I passed by many townsfolk, and it felt as though their eyes were sending little daggers towards me. Every person we passed would stop and stare, astonished that I had even stepped foot into their domain. My anxiety was rising, for I was already worried about what would come of me, and now I'm surrounded by hundreds of unknown faces. I sped up, breaking the little distance between Jed and I. I took the spot next to him, looking over at him "What now?" I said, tilting my head. Jed looked at me, stunned to see me speak up. "I'm bringing you to the castle, It's up to me what I do with you. You are all mine. How does it feel to have your rights stripped away?" He said, in a lower voice smirking at me. I rolled my eyes visibly to him, letting out a little laugh "You are a very funny man, stop trying to scare me it won't work. If you decide to kill me, then I die. If you don't kill me, I'll simply be a prisoner." I shrugged at him, looking into his eyes. I watched as his expression changed, anger filling his body. His voice lowered to a mere whisper "Watch your pretty little mouth" he threatened.
