Nightmare - Stargate Atlantis AU

Chapter #1 - Crash Landing

Space, as empty as usual. Darkness only lit by distance stars. Miles away stood a planet, green and pink in color.

Flying around the planet was a puddle jumper currently being driven by one John Sheppard.

"This the one?" Said someone sitting in the passenger seat.

John glanced over at the navigation, confused he looked back again and squinted at it.

He looked to the planet they were by and back to the navigation again.

"We may have taken a wrong turn somewhere..." He admitted and continued his statement

"This is what we get for trying to find a planet without a Stargate."

They circled the planet for a minute and noticed a ship.

It was a good sized ship but wasn't familiar to any of them. "What the.." Another person from the back said.

It was similar in style to the Daedalus but much smaller.

"Should we cloak?" The man in the passenger seat asked.

"I'm not sure." John said as he watched the ship.

The ship seemed completely stationary and had hardly moved, it appeared to be broken.

John began to move the puddle jumper closer to the ship trying to get a closer look.

"Maybe they need help." He muttered and inched closer

Suddenly the ship came to life, lights flicked on around the exterior of the ship.

It turned quick and cleanly to face the puddle jumper.

It stood still for a moment, it looked as if the ship was staring John and his crew down.

"What the hell." John said upon seeing the ship, it and sprung to life in a matter of seconds.

Before he could make a decision the ship revved up and began to fire at them.

"Shit!" John shouted and began to fly away. He turned on the cloak but the enemy ship got a good shot on the puddle jumper.

Lights began to flash in the small ship as they made a quick getaway.

"Someone to fix that!" He shouted, keeping his focus on where he was going.

He could tell the ship was still firing at them, he felt slightly panicked but this was nowhere near the weirdest or dangerous thing that had happened to him.

The person in the back had gotten up to see if he could fix any damaged that was caused.

Before they could get away the enemy ship got a lucky shot and hit the puddle jumper again.

The lights in the ship flickered and John began to lose control of the ship.

The ship began to hurdle towards the planet they were near.

"This is gonna be a rough landing!" John shouted as they pushed through the planet's atmosphere.

They now had a clear view of the ground now, it was lush looking and the water had a pinkish tint to it.

Currently John knew they had two options, hit the trees or hit the water.

Trees seemed to be the best option, he knew hitting the water could be risky for multiple reasons.

Crashing into the trees had its cons too but better than drowning.

He did his best to aim the puddle jumper at the trees but he didn't have a lot of control over the ship.
