I watch as they all divide themselves among groups as I sit in the back typing the silver-mooned keys in the corner of the cafeteria.
I watch them laugh in different ways I never understood.
They laugh at those who hide away and reserve their minds for the unknown.
They laugh among themselves about the things that could break the unspoken.
They laugh with the ones who wish the swords of thorns dragged on the unseen.
They laugh on the silence that crawls throughout the halls.
I watch all of these peals of laughter yet only see the dimmed light that hovers over them.
Too many sounds that can't be understood.
Too many sounds that can't be heard.
Too many sounds that can't be fixed.
The cafeteria has all of them, yet none of them.
