Lexi roamed the strip near the bar. She walked as rain poured down on her silky dark brown hair. She was so angry. Liza was alive this entire time. The love of Isabella's life was alive. Lexi let her... she let Liza touch her, kiss her, taste her. She didn't know what to do.
A car slowly pulled up.
"Hey Miss, you want a ride? Can I get you out of this rain" He said.
She shook her head, "No thank you, I like the rain."
The man pulled up further, "Come on, i'm not a serial killer or anything."
Lexi laughed ironically, "That's what a serial killer would say"
The man laughed, "Seriously, you look like you've been through hell let me at least give you a ride"
Lexi tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, "i... sure, why not" She said not feeling like arguing about it.
She opened the passenger door and got inside, buckling up.
"So where to?" The man asked
Lexi laughed, "I hadn't really thought that far"
"I'm not in a rush, we can just drive around" he suggested.
She thought about it, kinda surprised at how cool and caring he was. "You know what... yeah, i'd love that... I'm Lexi by the way."
"Tristan" he introduced himself.
Lexi smiled, "Nice to meet you Tristan"
"You as well Lexi" Tristan replied. "So what has you walking all soggy in the rain?"
"Well the rain is why i'm soggy" she joked "but a ghost from my girlfriends past showed up today, literally. I just couldn't deal i guess." Lexi rested her head on her hand, leaning against the passenger window.
Tristan was invested, "No that's totally valid. I dont know much about you, but it's obviously a touchy subject whoever it is. You have feelings too"
They shared a look and a smile.
Lexi thought, and finally spoke. "Actually, would you want to get a drink with me? I know a great bar."
Tristan shrugged with a smile, "A drink sounds good to me"
Lexi looked at him with doe eyes, "Great."
While Lexi was with Tristan, Sam rushed out of his apartment and into his car. He stepped on the gas as he drove out of his parking lot and kept driving until he finally got to his destination. He sat there overcome with thoughts and emotions. Was he actually going to do this? He soon got out of the car and grabbed the Stiletto shoe out of his trunk that Lexi had left in his apartment. Sam looked down at it, then at what was right in front of him. Sam took a few steps closer, then thought about what doing this would mean for Lexi. She was his best friend, he had to do what was best for her.
Sam took a deep breath and threw the Stiletto shoe into the deep, muddy lake. Any evidence would be washed away by the time it was found. Sam didn't agree with what Lexi was doing, but he had to protect her.
He got back into the car and started to drive home. His mind wanted to go home, but his heart took him someplace else.
After an hour of driving, he ended up at Jason's. He knocked on the door with hesitation. Jason opened it, surprised to see him.
Sam looked at Jason with apologetic eyes.
"I'm sorry" Sam pled
Jason looked at Sam, he was soaking wet from the rain.
"I should have believed you... about Lexi" Sam continued.
Jason invited Sam inside and hugged him as he cried into Jason's shoulder. He held him tight, knowing how hard it was for Sam to be in this position.
Sam wiped his nose with his sleeve and spoke, "I want to know. All of it, I want to know."
"Sam I-" Jason tried to speak
"You can trust me, Im not gonna run or leave." Sam held Jason's face with both hands. "I'm yours, Jason. All yours." Sam said before kissing him.
Jason held onto Sam's hands as they kissed. He wanted to tell Sam everything, but how could he be sure he could trust him. Liza had brainwashed him to only trust her, and to never trust her at the same time.
