**As a disclaimer, I should point out that there are several points in this story where there will be explicit scenes of intercourse in full detail. Viewer discretion is advised, so you have been forewarned. I will assume that everyone will read this and will therefore take into consideration what they will be reading. With that said, I would like to see only positivity, as I am far from a professional, and am just looking for a place to put my work for people to enjoy. :)

The atmosphere of my bedroom was fairly inviting for a scorching day in July, especially when in a remote town of Arizona. One of those towns where everyone knew everyone. It seemed like if you said something wrong, or did something bad, five minutes later the whole town knew about it. That is, the whole town of 609 people, and declining.

Yes, declining. Rumours of a serial killing maniac were being spread throughout the town. Naturally, not a single person hadn't heard them. "I heard that he's also a rapist, looking for boys and girls to snatch up. Rape them and then burn their bodies, some would say." That was at least what my mother would say. She also had other stories like, "I heard that his last victim was gutted like a pig, and his entrails were spilled along Main Street." I had heard that a couple of times, from a few people, but dismissed them. They didn't really matter to me.

No, I was perfectly content in my room, where all of my necessities were. I had a bathroom, my bed, books, a computer with hundreds of Gigabytes used, and hundreds more free. I had my cat, Gerard. A gray striped cat with a dominant black coat and dark brown eyes. Not hazel, like most cats' eyes, but brown. As odd as it was, I didn't mind. In fact, I loved the thing to death. It always slept at the foot of my bed, day and night, and rarely wandered outside of the house. I was perfectly content with where I was, as well as what I had here.

As it seemed, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, slouching comfortably as my cat sprawled out beside me as I read a book. I had picked the book randomly from my enormous bookcase, not bothering to read the title. Most of the books came from my friends, or picked up at the library and never returned. I have been banned from the library, actually. For having a bill of over one hundred dollars. For me it sucked, since my parents couldn't afford to pay it off.

Regardless, I had plenty of books to last me through the summer, and even through the first semester of my college year, which would be in two short months. Oh, how I dreaded the wait, equally as much as the thought of even going. I was a fairly good student in school. My Freshman year in highschool was horrible, but I did better my Sophomore year and pushed myself on through my Junior and Senior year, getting nothing below a B. For me, that was the greatest achievement of my life, but I still dreaded college, and I still didn't know what I wanted to do.

Pushing all of these thoughts aside, I sat up straight, laying my book next to my cat, slowly so as not to startle him. If he got too frightened he would jump and bite me, no matter how much he cared for me. He might have even attacked the book, so I didn't chance it.

I then stood up, and crossed over to my window, staring out at the expanse of Arizona desert in front of my house. There was nothing green in what seemed to be this wasteland. Except for cacti. Stupid things. When old enough, my dream was to travel to some rainforest, become one with the nature there, built a treehouse and live with the solitude. How peaceful that would be. Unbelievable, the peace I could find.

Sighing, I glanced over at the house to the right. A new family had just moved in, probably clueless to the dead atmosphere of this wretched town. I dared a peek into one of the windows, my eyes looking past the curtains that were partly open. My eyes widened in shock as I spied a bare butt facing my way. I looked away quickly, heat and blood rushing up to my face as I closed the curtains so fast I thought the curtain rod would burst in flames from the friction.

I had no idea why I was so flustered by it. I didn't even know if it was a man's or a woman's, but I knew I wasn't supposed to see that. Still... no. I shuddered, and opened my curtains again. Not to look, but because I liked the natural light that came in from outside. The only time I ever had my lights on was during the night, because I was such a conservative. Not.

Movement. My eyes darted instinctively towards it before I could even register that it was the same window as before. Two piercing blue eyes stared next to me, and I could see his whole body, down to the thighs. My eyes widened, and I opened my mouth to say something, then remembered that there were two windows in between us. He wouldn't be able to hear me. I saw his brow raise in a questioning look, but I couldn't move - couldn't even speak.

Just when I thought he was going to pull up a gun and shoot me or something, he waved. Waved! Just waved, and nothing else. When my mind finally pulled itself together, I dropped like a rock. I pulled my body as close together as I could on the floor so that my head was just below the window, and pulled the curtains closed again.

After a few seconds of breathing like a fish out of water, trying to regain my breath and my mind, I walked heavily towards the light and flicked it on. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to get rid of the mental image forming in my head of the man in the window. He was attractive - in his twenties, maybe. He had fair skin and was quite tall. Blond hair, blue eyes, a strikingly gorgeous face, and in between his - nope. Can't think about it. I squeezed them tighter still, focusing on something else.

Then I looked in the mirror. Perhaps my own looks could distract me from the man. I stared at myself, trying to find a detail about me that would distract me. I had light brown, almost hazel eyes. He had blue. I had shaggy black hair that reached just below my ears - he had blond hair that spiked out slightly on top and slightly on the sides. I was medium height, about 5'5'' - he was tall at about 6'2''. Huge. He had - nope. Can't think about it. Nope, nope, nope.

I squeezed my eyes shut again.

Nope. Can't think about it. Think about something else. I thought. Anything else.

I took a long, deep breath, clearing my mind of all that was dirty and distracting. When I was sure that my mind was all clear, I let my breath out, as if all of those thoughts were exiting my mouth like a hose. Smiling, knowing that my mind was free of all of those thoughts and images at last, I opened my door. On cue, the doorbell rang.

Ding... dong...
