Chapter 4

I arrived at school at 7:50. Ten minutes early. I thought to myself, "Now that's a record." Usually I always make it to school right on time, or ten minutes tardy.

I walked to my locker and was in the process of putting in my code when I felt two fingers poke me on either side of my hips. I let out a blood curling scream and spin around to see my best friend Shannon and her boyfriend Stephen. Stephen was practically rolling on the floor laughing at me, whole my bestie was smirking.

"How dare you?!" I ask with fake anger. "You know that poking is my total weakness. I am ASHAMED of you."

She answered with a taunting look on her face, "I know you love me."

"Sure." I retorted

HEY?! I do." She answered.

"Oh I know, I was just kidding. Payback, woman." I grinned

She gave me this annoyed look and walked of to class with her perfect boyfriend tagging behind her like Little Bo Peep. I gave a small laugh and walked off to the first class

~~~~~~
After softball practice that night, I was walking off to the showers when I spotted the football team leaving off torwards the showers as well. I though to myself. "Oh great." becasue usually the football players like to take the long way around to the locker rooms, just to stop and hit on the softball girls. I grabbed my bag and rushed ahead of all the girls trying to avoid the annoying perverts.
When I get to my locker I see something that 100% amazed me to the extreme. The hottest guy, not to mention the quarterback of the team is leaning against my locker with a smile on his face.
I brushed my hair out of my face and countinued torwards my locker, still in shock of what is standing before me.
He puts on his seductive face and says, "Hey, you're Ashley, right?"
I nodded, not able to find the right words, but he goes on.
"Can I have your number?"
At first I was actually going to say yes, but then I though about the intent of him asking and instantly answered, "No sorry."
He noted the tone in my voice and answered, "Fine then." and walked off
I felt bad, but i didn't want to be the next victim of his, so I knew to keep my distance.
