Fifteen

Blossom on the trees, chirping birds, peaceful. AiXun breathed in the fresh air, opening his arms and twirled around on the empty path in front of him. It was so calming. Why hasn't his life been as calm as this before? He didn't know where he was but, he didn't care. He loved where he was right now. There was nothing in his mind, finding himself unable to even remember anything. His only focus of that second was the surroundings.

"XunXun!"

"AiAi!"

AiXun gasped hearing the voice that called out to him.

"Ojisan! Obaasan!" He ran and ran towards where he sees his grandparents standing but, the distance wasn't closing in. They were so near yet, so far away. "Why? Why can't I go to you?" AiXun asked in distress, still running towards them.

"XunXun! You can't come with us."

"Why?" He finally stopped running, panting heavily as he stood.

"because you don't belong here." his grandfather said.

"XunXun, you've done a great job, sweetheart. You will now finally find peace in your life. You won't live in regret. Everything is going to be okay." His grandmother shouted to him.

"but...but, I want to be with you." AiXun mumbled.

His grandfather gave him a smile, "no, you don't. You want to be with them instead. You want YongBok and your real family." He emphasized.

Lee YongBok, AiXun gasped upon remembering the name. He looked around trying to find where YongBok was.

"Where is he?"

"He's waiting for you."

"but, I still want to be with you."

"AiAi, just remember. We're always with you, in your heart. Just look up to the sky and always think of us. We're watching over you, always."

AiXun felt tears streaming down his cheek. He grinned, wiping the tears away, "thank you Ojisan. Obaasan."

"It's thank you sweetheart. Now, go. Everyone is waiting for you." His grandmother laughed heartily.

"AiXun!"

The heir turned his head towards the other side, seeing YongBok waving to him and beckoning for him. Behind him, stood his real family, Bang Chan, Lee Know, HyunJin, ChangBin, Jisung and I.N.

AiXun smiled, bowing one last time towards his grandparents before running towards YongBok. The distance closed between them with every step that he took and a sudden bright light blinded his eyes.

He opened his eyes to a familiar ceiling painted in white. The scent of the room reminding him of disinfectant. There was a constant beeping on his side that AiXun didn't bother to even look at because he knew that it was probably the EKG Machine. He must've been in a hospital. He suppressed a groan as he failed to move his body. It felt so stiff and heavy making him give up after three attempts to get up. AiXun felt exhausted. A sigh left his lips and he closed his eyes again, wanting to fall back asleep. Footsteps were heard and the door creaked open. AiXun calmly waited to hear who had came into the ward.

"Good morning love." YongBok greeted to the unconscious. He slides open the curtain, letting the sun rays into it. AiXun heard his footstep nearing him, he felt a warm hand gently combed through his hair and a kiss was placed on his forehead, "day 100. You sure sleep a lot don't you?" He heard the older chuckle.

Day 100, what could he mean? What had happened?

"I bought some lip balm for you today. You lips are getting so chapped lately. Yesterday when I went home, HyunJin showed me your memory box. You still kept our pictures from 11 years ago. I found a bracelet you made out of threads and rocks, you still kept those too. You made me cry a lot last night. I was thankful HyunJin and Jisung were there to comfort me. You found yourself good friends." He felt YongBok took a seat on the empty space beside him, "and then Lee Know Hyung and SeungMin cooked some of my favourite food, cheese tteokbokki. It was so delicious, I wish you could taste it. ChangBin Hyung and Bang Chan Hyung gave me the keys to your car. I don't know if it was intentional but, I remembered telling you that when I grow up, I wanted to drive an red Audi. You bought the exact same one. I.N also gave me your notebook. He told me you wrote a lot about me in it. AiXun, when will you wake up, I miss you a lot." YongBok leaned putting his forehead onto AiXun's.
