I braced myself for the impact of the gun but to my surprise it never came.

My hands were covering my ears as the ringing never stopped and the next thing I knew, broken glass was scattered all over the floor, my handsome kidnapper had left and tears were running a race down my face.
My usual confidence was gone and I was shattered for a moment. I rolled myself up like a ball and laid on the floor until the police came..not even caring that the glass had pierced my left arm, why would I care anyway..I couldn't feel pain at this point but I saw blood.

This wouldn't be the most traumatizing thing I've gone through but this was most definitely trauma. My eyes suddenly felt tired and I could sense that they had been swollen due to the amount of tears that ran from my eyes. I wanted to keep them open but strength had left me and at this point all I knew was that I blacked out.

I don't know when police arrived but when I woke up I was in the hospital. Sebastien saw that I was awake and ran to give me a bear hug.
"Wow dad calm down I'm not dead yet" I laughed..(dark humor) and I saw the concerned look on his face. "Too soon?" I questioned
"Way too soon" He answered shaking his head.

I asked for the run down of what happened and apparently the police had contacted him and he rushed down to see if I was okay. When Sebastien talked to the investigator he said that they found me blacked out on the floor with pieces of broken glass in my skin, the ambulance rushed me to the hospital while they stayed at the crime scene. Turns out, the broken glass was from the chandlier, it had smashed to pieces and blood was all over the floor. They scanned the entire house for prints but unfortunately they ended up with nothing. Bottom line my kidnapper or should I say killer got away and that made my skin shiver.
Sebastien ordered food for me cause he didn't trust the food the hospital staff prepared and moments later the doctor came in.
"So this is our star girl..your father went crazy when you wouldn't wake up after 2 hours."

"Wait what!how long has it been since I got here?"

"Five hours..it's 4am honey" the doctor answered and my eyes popped out my head.
Five freaking hours!!

The doctor continued
"I came to tell you that you are a very lucky young lady, loosing so much blood you should've been in a coma for a couple of days but I guess God shined upon you." She warmly smiled.
Not to mention how beautiful she was, long curly black hair and green eyes with a little accent she was of a small build but beautiful figure I could see her curves through her coat as weird as that sounded.

She looked mid 30s but still beautiful..fresh out of college.

"Let me take a look at the bandage and change the wrapping..you're going home at 7" she smiled and came closer.
I hadn't even realized I had it on, I mean it wasn't a cast but it wasn't exactly small. Beside my shoulder blade laid the white bandage wrapping. I couldn't see it, but if I looked in a mirror maybe I would be able to.

I later learned that the doctor's name was Miss Rushmore and she was single, and I guess Sebastien was interested as they held a long conversation outside, Ms.Rushmore smiling way too much. I must say though I liked the little connection they had going on.

Finally it was time to go home. I wanted to relax and since I had no school- the only good thing that came out of this incident- I was going to spend the day on Netflix and eating caramel popcorn.

That was different though I expected peace and quiet but, when I went home the police were still there and so were the investigators.

I mentally rolled my eyes got out of the car and slammed the door shut.

"Good morning Miss Summers I'm detective-"
He got interrupted by my hand.

"Talk to me another time detective." I walked away.
"We didn't accompany you to the hospital because we wanted you to recover better if you weren't under the pressure and stress as you woke up, we need you to try to remember what the person looked like."

"Another time detective!" I yelled as I ran up the stairs.
I had a splitting headache and I wanted to sleep even though that wouldn't help me much, since strangers were downstairs searching my house and making noise.
