hello! <3

I cannot wait to answer some of the questions you submitted to me - either here or on Instagram! Let's get to it.

Question No. : Do you ever see yourself publishing/ self-publishing your books or plan to in the future?

Answer: It is my dream to hold my books in my hands one day, so yes, I can definitely see myself pursuing publishing! However, I do not have any specific plans to do so at this time. I am really enjoying just writing new content on Wattpad for you all and interacting with readers! But one day, I hope that I'll be able to make publishing a priority.

Also every time someone asks me this, it honestly makes me smile. I appreciate reader support and encouragement so much.

Question No. 2: Which one of your books would you like to publish on paperback first?

Answer: It Burns Within Us is likely the first book I would consider. It is the book that I have done the most revisions on (which not all revisions are on Wattpad), and also since it is the beginning to the Wildfire Series. Plus Bren & Madie have my heart. <3

(if you have a different opinion on what I should publish first, let me know! I'm curious!) —>

Question No. 3: Would published content ever include all the bonus material you've posted to Wattpad?

Answer: It likely wouldn't, just because I think I would need to trim down most of my stories in order to look at formatting them in paperback form. But never say never!

Question No. 4: How did you get into writing?

Answer:  I know I've told this story before at some point, but I started really getting into writing when I was a freshman in high school. I would write a chapter in the short book I was writing and then bring it to school where my friends would pass it around during class to read it. Wattpad would have been a much easier way of sharing it lmao. But I'm not sure if it was around yet or not - I didn't know about it if it was!

Anyway, I wrote on and off during high school, but my inspiration died for a bit during college. I didn't read as much for fun, either, but once I graduated and got into reading again, my love for fictional worlds returned. A few years ago, the concept for Before She Ruled popped into my head, and then the ideas just didn't stop! Writing has honestly been how I unwind and turn my work-brain off at night. Sometimes writing can be exhausting, but most of the time, it's therapeutic.

Question No. 5: How did you discover Wattpad?

Answer: When I finished writing Before She Ruled, I joined Instagram in hopes that I would meet other aspiring authors - which I did! Several writers in the IG author community were talking about this thing called ✨Wattpad✨ so I took a leap and signed up.

No one had ever read any part of Before She Ruled
before (besides my husband who kindly proofread it), and so I hoped I would get some honest feedback about the story. I had no idea what I was doing when I joined. I uploaded the entire story at once - which was a weird thing to do since not a single person was reading it. I still remember the first time someone did read the entire thing, and I was honestly so excited that anyone cared enough to finish it. Legit the best feeling ever. Anyway, the rest, as they say...was history. I am very grateful for finding this community of readers and writers.

Question No. 6: What do you like most about Wattpad?

Answer: Definitely the interaction with others - both other readers and other authors. I think I have improved my writing in so many ways just by getting the real time feedback from readers. It really helps to shape the story. Plus it's so much fun. I never thought that I would get so involved in Wattpad when I joined, but let's be honest...it's addicting. Not to mention, I've met some really great people on this platform who are just amazing. And also read some really great books. <3

Question No. 7: What will your next story be?

Answer: My next story is Alive At Night! If you've read All the Wild Ones, then you'll already be familiar with Julian, who is our male MC. It's a contemporary sister's best friend, work place romance with a splash of fake dating. I'm so excited to share it with you! And there will be a sneak peek in this book...coming soon!

If you're a writer...any exciting projects coming up? Or for readers, stories you're excited to read? —>

Question No. 8: How did you meet your husband and which one of your book boyfriends is based off him?

Answer: Much like the characters in my Wildfire series, I met my husband because we lived next to each other in the dorms on our college campus - only it was our sophomore year. My roommate befriended his roommate (like a Beau/Nessa situation), and then the two of us realized we had  Bio lecture together that semester.

None of my book boys are based off of him entirely, but if I had to pick any of them that he is most like, I'd pick Grayson. My husband makes or buys me coffee nearly every day, has a definite witty side to him, likes to take me on car rides, and loves football. Also, if my husband and I were a trope, we would definitely be reverse grumpy x sunshine...just like Nessa & Gray.

My husband has had many "man written by a woman" moments, and I consider myself very lucky (also bc our anniversary is 11/11/11 🍀).

Question No. 9: What grade do you teach?

Answer: I teach middle school (11-14 year olds)! In the past, I have taught elementary school and have also dabbled in high school, but I firmly believe I have the personality for middle school (iykyk). I have students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. And yes...I have caught students on Wattpad in class.
