"Nice to meet you Sherlock, I'm 'M'."
Cale immediately stood up from his seat and turned around. Everybody looked at him at that moment. Alver also heard of it so he also turned around but he can see the students stare at them. Also the confused gazes of the disciplinary committee and student council members. Alver tugged the hem of Cale's uniform to tell him to sit down but Cale just ignored him. He was still looking intensely at the student in front of him. Alver strengthened his pull so Cale had no other choice but to abide. Though, he changed the direction of his chair. Instead of facing forward, he made it in the opposite direction. He was now sitting and facing the student with the same red hair as his with a white mask covering half of his face. Wait, is it alright to wear a mask in school? He was sitting with his legs crossed with an innocent smile on his lips, in contrast, his eyes were looking coldly at Cale.
The two were locked in a staring contest. Alver could only sigh. He did his best to divert the students attention away from Cale and this masked student. When Alver diverted the other student's attention, he tried to send a signal to Rosalyn who's standing near the door but the masked student turned his attention to Alver at that moment. Alver flinched at his gaze.
"Try to do something funny, Alver Crossman, I'll order my men on standby to slit her throat."
The masked student gazed at Rosalyn for a bit before turning his attention back to him. Alver could see a student wearing a black hat move a bit closer to Rosalyn who's waiting for Alver's orders at that moment. Alver could see something glinting on the student's pocket at that moment. It was a Swiss knife. Alver then told Rosalyn to stand down. The masked student earned a glare from Cale that moment.
"Are you really 'M'?"
Cale asked. It was so silent like a whisper but it was loud enough to be heard by Alver and the disciplinary committee sitting besides them. Everyone was tense when they heard him at that moment. The criminal mastermind they were chasing for months is unexpectedly in front of Cale right now. They wanted to turn around as well but they saw Alver's look, he's slowly shaking his head. They stopped moving and just attentively listened to them. In an outsider's viewpoint, it was like Cale and this student were talking normally like friends who had not seen each other for a while. But it was far from that, they were locked in a serious conversation.
"Yes, I am."
"Really? You looked like a chūnibyō to me. Oh, no offense intended..."
Cale shrugged his shoulders as he smirked at him. At that moment, their small audience had one thing in their minds, 'why are you provoking him?!!!', with their unexplainable expressions.
The masked man only smiled at Cale.
"Is that so? But I'm really, 'M' though? Should I kill someone here as proof?"
Their small audience stiffened. They really really wanted to turn around and arrest this guy.
"If you kill someone here, then you're just another murderer I'll arrest, not 'M'."
The man's smile only widened at Cale's remark.
"Then how about this?"
The masked man snapped his fingers. At that moment, the lights in the auditorium died, everyone immediately panicked. Then the emergency lights lit. Cale could now see that there are some students who're wearing a black hat lined in all of the entrance and exit of the auditorium. They all barricaded them. 'M' he just isolated them from the outside. Cale glared at the masked student sitting comfortably as chaos enveloped the auditorium.
"What are you doing, you fucker?"
The masked man smirked at Cale at that moment.
"Proving to you that I'm really 'M'."
