Margaretha peered around the classroom door, watching as Demi set her books down. She started to skip over to her but Vera had already taken the seat. She was giggling and chatting with Demi.
"Oh..."
She sat across the room and gazed at Demi, sighing. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see who it was.
Emma and Tracy.
"Heyyy!~" Tracy cooed. "Whatcha looking at?"
"Nothing in particular..."
"You seem upset, what's wrong?" Emma asked, sitting next to her, Tracy following.
Margaretha let out a heavier sigh and rested her chin on her hand. She groaned and glanced at Demi.
"I think I like Demi..."
Tracy gasped and clapped her hands excitedly, shaking Emma's shoulders.
"SHE HAS A CRUSH! SHE HAS A CRUSH!"
"SHHHH!" Margaretha hushed, hitting Tracy's chest. "Not so loud!"
"Girl, you have to tell her.~" Emma encouraged. "It's not that hard."
Margaretha's face went blank as she stared at her.
"Not that hard? NOT THAT HARD?" she changed to a whisper. "The both of you do realise that "The" Demi Bourbon is the most popular girl in school? She's probably straight anyway, boys are all over her."
Tracy giggled.
"Her? Straight? I doubt it."
"Huh...? What do you mean?"
"Have you seen her? She's always talking about women and how cute they are."
"But that's normal... girls compliment each other all the time."
"No, this is different. She says it out of nowhere and I've heard her say that she would date a girl."
"Stop getting my hopes up, it's probably just a rumor. She's definitely straight, I have no chance."
Emma groaned and shook her.
"Stop saying that. You won't know until you try. We'll help!"
"How can you help? Magically change her sexuality? Don't bother."
"Oh sweet Margie! Once we're set on something, you can't stop us!"
Margaretha complained loudly and Tracy laughed.
"Glad you're onboard now! Trust us honey.~"
"Fine, I'll trust you..."
"YAY!" Emma exclaimed. "Y'know, Tracy and I are already friends with her. We could ask her what her type is!"
"Wh-what? No way!" she paused. "Also, why are you guys friends with her but not me..."
"Cause you always refuse to talk to her." Tracy chuckled, patting her back. "We'll ask her at lunch. You don't have to directly be there, just stay close by."
Margaretha took a deep breath and nodded her head.
The 3 of them waited until lunch, Emma and Tracy leading her to her locker.
"You stay here and pretend to go though your locker. Emma and I with talk to Demi when she walks by ok? Ok!"
"Ok..."
Margaretha opened her locker, shoving her head in and waited. Demi walked towards her own locker and Tracy tapped her shoulder. She turned to them and smiled.
