"Time Won't Tell"

"How can you be so sure it wasn't that Randall guy?" Jax asked, stepping into the upper room where the rest of the legends were. The conversation was just getting started. He took a seat.

"Because Vandal Savage is dead."

"Wait, what?" Asked the bird girlfriend.

"Dead? Are you sure?" The bird boyfriend asked.

"One hundred percent. I know it feels like you guys never got to do it, but you all completed your mission. Anyways. You should probably all introduce yourselves. I think it'd be exciting to see what happened the first time around."

Sami squinted but decided to go first. "Ok. I'm Sami Elliott. Better known - by nobody - as Techsuit."

"Sara Lance. The Canary. Or whatever I decide to call myself now." Then she winked into some invisible camera, Sami figured. She wondered if she ever stopped being scared of her.

"I'm Ray Palmer, the Atom. And Sami, that's some good handiwork. Perhaps we could share notes."

Sami nodded even though she had nothing to do with the configuration or assembling of the suit.

"Hunter Walker. Vortex," sunglasses said with a skeptical brow. Sami wondered if they ever became friends.

"I'm Professor Martin Stein, and this is Jefferson, my companion."

What an age difference, Sami thought as she raised her eyebrows. But she wasn't against anything.

"Uh, not like that," Jax said, leaning a bit away from the professor. "He means we're both one half of Firestorm." Then he held out his hand.

"No don't!" Rip said, but the professor hadn't dared to put his hand up.

"Jefferson, I'd advise against it."

"Oh. So that's how that didn't happen the first time around."

"This is Mick. Heatwave. And I'm Leonard. Captain Cold," he said boringly. Sami rolled her eyes.

"I'm Kendra."

"Carter. Hawkman and Hawkgirl."

"Did you say hot man and hot girl?" Sami asked. It fell on deaf ears.

I'm sure there's more of them but I can't remember at the moment. I mean, what, I'm just the narrator.

"Right. How exciting!" Rip exclaimed.

"When did he become captain sunshine?" Sami joked quietly to the girl beside her... Hunter, she thinks it was.

"So what do we get to do? Just sit around and wait for some guy to... what, exactly?" Jax asked.

"We always called him The Coated Man, but it was hard to tell anything about him. All I know was that we went to 2033, and that's when he began following us. One fight happened. The next thing I knew, you were all zapped away. Hidden in plain sight."

"Enemies from the future?" Sara asked skeptically.

"Damn," Jax laughed. "We really are legends."

"And you were left unscathed, Captain Hunter?" The professor asked.

Two Hunters onboard? That could get confusing, Sami thought.

"Not exactly. I was left like this," Rip said. Then Sami grimaced as he pulled out something from his mouth. False teeth, Sami thought as she looked at the white pearls in his hands and back to the voids in his gums.
