Mystery of the Basement

A few days pass, and the family finally finished unpacking. The home was still pretty overwhelming for Gregory and Axel, but still they were happy being here. Roxy liked the new home, for it was expansive and cozy. Still, one take away from the house is the basement. There was just something weird about it, Gregory had the feeling that something was down there, Axel felt the same way but didn't think they should look for it.

It was night out and it was raining outside, and Gregory was sitting on his bed, looking outside. Listening the rain hitting his window, he was also holding a flashlight. Gregory was planning to explore the basement and see what is down there and why is it freaking him and everyone out? Gregory soon went out of his room and quietly snuck downstairs, soon turning on his flashlight as he went to the fridge and poured himself a glass of water before exploring.

Gregory soon opened the basement door, and immediately began feeling that weird and creepy feeling. He took a deep breath and soon began walking down the stairs, "Gregory?" Roxy said. Gregory shined his light upwards and saw Roxy at the door. "God... don't sneak up on me like that!" Gregory said.

"What are you doing up this late?" Roxy said, "I wanna see what's down here, I don't know why but this basement is giving me the creeps" Gregory said. "Oh, well how about I come explore with you?" Roxy said, "Sure, don't wanna be down here alone anyway"

They soon walked down the stairs and into the basement, and Gregory lead the way throughout the halls of the basement. Roxy soon broke off as she went and searched in other areas of the basement. Gregory was extensive with his search, he was hitting the wall for any noises to indicate anything down here. He looked through shelves, and eventually he came upon some really old family photo. It was a photo that seemed like it was taken in the 1970's, and there was a man with a scratched out face in the photo, along with a woman and 3 children. One was a little girl with blonde hair with 2 locks on it, the other was of a kid possibly 6 years of age and he looked a bit tough. The mother was holding the 3rd child, a baby.

Gregory soon placed the picture back down on the shelf, and continued exploring. Pretty soon, Gregory hit the wall with his hand. However this time, he hit a small open space in the wall that was covered by wallpaper. Gregory soon called Roxy over and she soon came over.

"Found something?" She said, "there's something behind that wall" Gregory said. Roxy soon assured Gregory to back away and she soon ripped off the wallpaper, and they uncovered a piece of plywood that seemed to be covering some type of door.

"Stand back" Roxy said as she soon grabbed the plywood and used her strength to pull off the wood, and uncovered a white wooden panel door. Gregory and Roxy looked at each other for a moment before Roxy kicked the door open, and Gregory walked inside the room, and soon saw the layout of the room.

"What the fuck..?" Gregory said in shock.

The room looked like a bedroom, but was very dirty and poverished, as if no one has been in here in decades. Gregory and Roxy soon walked around the room, he shined his light upon the old dusty room. What confused Gregory the most is that this room had 2 doors, and he knew this other door lead to another hall because he had been down there. What mind of bedroom has 2 connecting hallways?

Roxy used her eyes scanners to look for anything in the room, and she soon saw a photo of some young boy likely 6 years old. "Hey, Gregory, this kid looks like you" Roxy said, and Gregory saw the photo and it did kinda look like him. Gregory soon walked over to the bed and saw an old Freddy Fazbear plush. When he picked it up, he felt something inside.

Gregory soon showed it to Roxy and she used her claws to tear open the plush and there was a tape inside, as well as a tape recorder inside. Roxy looked at Gregory, and he nodded.

Roxy put the tape in, and began playing the tape.
