In My Hands, The World Ends

I stare into the mirror of the world as it ends
I realized this wasn't what He said

There were no angels that held heaven's fire, nor were there demons that cannibalize the streets

I only saw the man above staring down at the sea of people, crying for justice as the court had promised all

Was there really justice?
Was there really hope?

Many have asked that for so long, centuries ago.

The ash of war rained on us forever, and the blood of those who fought run through the soil

But there was no fruit to be given or sold, just the barren land a plant can barely toil

We made a desert out of our lush green land

Must we make the same mistakes and fall into the same traps?
What use is that godforsaken education you suffered for
If you don't use that brain of yours

We know what is going to happen
And at the same time we don't
The future is uncertain, yet there was a past that is to repeat soon

And as I stare into the mirror of the world as it ends
I could only wish my end would consume me soon.

I may not hold the world in my hands
But in my hands, the world ends

(Excuse the rant poem, this is just me venting due to the result of the Philippine Elections [couldn't vote yet btw] but just thinking about politics rn is gonna give me a panic attack because I don't like where this is going. I hate where this is going and it feels like the world is gonna end right in my very eyes. I hate who won the election and I do not condone the people who support him. I can only pray that he means well and not walk the same path that his father took. Thank you so much for your unending support for my stuff, I wish you all the best.

-Yours Truly)
