Peter wasn't really listening to what Ned was saying. He knew he was being rude, but he just for the love of him, couldn't get MJ out of his head.

Ever since....THAT happened, they had barely spoken to one another, only when necessary, and when that happened he couldn't stop himself from blushing bright red and stuttering, and he sometimes even caught himself staring at her, either just at her face, or at her body, that was the most embarrassing, whether he would catch himself, or when MJ would catch him and say "h-hey, my eyes are up here loser." It was just so awkward.

I mean, how are you supposed to talk to your kind-of-friend after you had sex with them?! Unprotected sex, no less.

Peter knew them having sex unprotected was really stupid of them, but, come on, this wasn't a drama show, just because they slept together ONE time didn't mean MJ was going to get pregnant!

Honestly, Peter didn't know what to feel about MJ, before she was someone in the background, who would occasionally make fun of him and Ned, after being announced as captain of the decathlon though, and admitting she saw the team as friends, things had changed slightly. She still made fun of him and Ned, but she now sat closer to them at lunch, joined in on their conservations, and even went over to Peter's place for movie marathon with him and Ned sometimes, Peter had honestly come to consider her as a friend.

Now though, he had no idea how he felt, and was currently contemplating his feelings for MJ.

Whenever Peter made a joke around her, he would check see if the girl laughed or smiled, but he figured that was more of a friend thing since it was nice having a new one around.

He also found her effortlessly beautiful. The way her brown curls would rest on her shoulders when it was pulled up, and on the occasion it was down? Marvelous. Her brown eyes that would light up once in a while made him feel so.. He didn't have the words. Peter figured he just noticed the girl's beauty, but is it possible he could have had feelings for her deep down this entire time?

Man, why did feelings have to be so confusing?!

"-eter? Peter!"

Peter suddenly snapped out of it to notice Ned snapping his fingers in face.

"What? Uhh, sorry what were you saying?"

His best friend had a look of annoyance and frustration on his face, "You were seriously not listening to a word I was saying!?"

"I'm sorry! I just have other things on my mind!"

"Yeah I've noticed! You've been acting very weird lately dude, for the past month and a half actually, what's going on with you? Is it something involving Spider-Man or the avengers?" Ned asked, growing excited at the last question.

Peter sighed, "No Ned." Receiving a poutp in return.

"Then what is it? I'm serious man, I've been trying to let you tell me on your own, but now I just gotta know what's up with you."

"..I.." Peter hesitated, "I really don't want to talk about it, besides you might freak out."

Ned dropped his head on the table they were sitting at and groaned in frustration. "Fine! Maybe I'll just go ask MJ! She's been acting weird too so I'll bet she has something to do with this!"

At that, Peter shot up. "No! No you can't do that!!"

"So she IS involved! I knew it! What's going on with you two?" Ned exclaimed. "Wait.. does she know about.. You know who?"

"What? No! Don't be ridiculous!"

"Well, I'm just gonna go ask her then, since my own best friend seems to be keen on keeping me in the dark."
