The entire time travel picnic took a lot of explanation from Peter, from how it happened, and what Peter did, to why he did it happen.

Tony almost ripped some of his hair out when he got a call in Greece that Peter was neither in the tower nor in his school and his spider suit was neatly folded in his closet. He was nowhere to be found and KEREN was out of reach as well. There was no clue to Peter leaving the tower for anything and no matter how much Tony tried he couldn't trace Peter's web-shooters that he kept on him all the time.

The entire team searched him for complete 3 complete days. But couldn't find him, FRIDAY just said that he entered a room and never got out. Avengers were just left with an empty room to investigate, in which they found nothing. Their best guess was that he was kidnapped and they just prayed that the kidnapper was after Peter Parker and not Spiderman, cause if that was the case, the kidnapper was in deep trouble. If not, their kid was in deep trouble.

Even FRIDAY had no footage of what was inside the room and there were no clues whatsoever, it was a completely white and empty huge room not unlike many others on the personal floors which were empty simply because no one used them.

Tony flew back to the tower not missing a beat when he came to know that the idiots at the tower had called him after 3 days of HIS intern going missing. As soon as he landed heard the entire situation and saw the room, it took him a minute to realise what was in that room and why was this the only room in the entire tower without any CCTVs, he guessed what must have happened. And went pale at the thought.

Tony had left that project unfinished for a reason. A reason that his otherwise usually smart intern didn't realise.

No one was ever supposed to find this out.

This was something he couldn't tell the team. But they were not going to just sit back and not know anything.

Tony knew that especially Rogers is not going to let him keep any secrets because of his teamwork bullshit. But he didn't had any intention to tell him the truth.

So he caught Clint and Natasha in a corner considering that they have a better idea of the concept of 'privacy'. And he wasn't wrong, they understood that some things are better kept quiet. Also, they trusted Tony with Peter. They handled Steve and the rest of the team with a fake cover-up story while Tony called the Bleaker Street magician. And told him actually what happened.

" Peter Benjamin Parker, you are in really deep shit for this one " mumbled Tony under his breath. As heard an earful about how he has no idea how serious is, what he has done and how dangerous is to play with time, especially when he was no expert in the matter. From Strange as if he didn't knew it . He didn't even want to involve Strange in this but unfortunately, there was no way around it. He had to if he wanted the kid back. And there wasn't any risk Tony wouldn't take if it meant his kid would be back.

So he had to call him at one of his mansions, which he had no memory of owning, and explain what was going on. At first Strange gave him crap about being VERY underqualified to mess with the dimensions of time, change of past etc. completely forgetting the first time he himself used time stone. Not that Tony knew about it.

After the lecture, Strange finally brought Peter back and Tony was beyond relieved,

Peter told him that he met Tony's younger self and he was at a loss for words. He didn't see that coming.

Tony started calmly but it didn't last long... as his calm slowly shifted to pure rage...
" Just forget it kid, what was in the past was in the past and I don't want it to affect mine and our present. I was a different person back then I am a different person now. And I do not want you to bring that up. Also, next time you decide to work on stuff that can break the 'fabric or reality' as this dude's saying, make sure to at least ask me in crystal clear words.
