The two best friends walked down the long white staircase with nothing but summer throw over dresses to cover them. Savannahs pale legs brushing against the people as they squeezed past them.
The cold air immediately hitting her as they opened the sliding door, the garden filled with even more people. Beach balls flying through the air, shirtless men playing basketball on the court, along with others jumping into the pool.
"Savannah, Sadie. Let me get you two a drink" Kat spoke up from the water beside her blonde lover.
Savannah couldn't help but notice the way a certain brunette turned in her direction at the sound of her name. A black cap shadowing his eyes, however it wasn't difficult to see the way they trailed up her body ever so slowly. Taking it in piece by piece.
Sadie was the first to remove her throw over, setting it down at the bar along with her towel before taking a run up and leaping into the pool. The men standing at the top of the rocks cheering her as she rose to the surface.
Colby sat with his arm resting on the side of the pool, nodding his head towards the brunette gesturing for her to remove hers too. His eyes never leaving her body as she walked over to Kat at the bar.
"For you" She smiled, handing her a disposable plastic cup.
"Thank you" Savannah replied, bringing it up to her mouth and taking a large sip. The alcohol immediately burning the back of her throat as she swallowed, screwing her face up slightly as she did so.
Setting the cup back down she reached for the bottom of her dress, taking a large breath before pulling it over her head in one quick move. The same boys whistling and shouting at her once her body was revealed.
Colby didn't seem all to pleased however, taking his hat off and running his fingers through his hair in annoyance. While Savannah retrieved her drink and slowly stepped into the surprisingly warm water, following Kat over to the others.
Savannah took the empty seat next to Colby, who stretched his arm out along the side of the pool behind her. Glancing at him now, she could see his tattoos more closely. The heart on his pec, the rose along his rib cage.
As she admired his ink, as he also admired hers. The lily along her arm, a snake slithering down her outer thigh along with more flowers. The most surprising one–and the worst mistake, being the ghost on her upper arm with the year that her and Josh began dating.
Savannah wasn't big on tattoos, sure she had a few but it was ones that she got for reasons. Like the time her grandmother took her to pick flowers–her favourite being lilies. Or the snake because it was her favourite animal.
Hours went by of them all laughing and cheering on Sadie as she jumped from the rocks. Savannah had to be on her 4th drink and maybe 6 or 7 shots down, Kat just continuing to bring over more and more.
When Savannah's thinking had been interrupted by one of the guys that whistled at her now placing himself on the other side of her, the water soaking the rest of her upper body as it rippled.
"And who's this?" He smirked, leaning back on the side of the pool with one arm as he looked at her.
"Savannah" She smiled at the tanned brunette, who also showed off a few tattoos of his own.
"Brennan, if I'd known such a babe like you would be here I would have made more of an effort" He smirked, Savannah feeling slightly uncomfortable. Moving closer to Colby, now sitting directly under his arm, his hand taking place on her shoulder blade.
"Lovely to meet you, if you excuse me I need another drink" She smiled standing up, removing herself from Colby's hand which had been drawing shapes on her back.
