Dawn's p.o.v

"I can't believe it! We're all going to Hogwarts!!!!" Rose exclaimed happily. Having muggle parents, you can't blame her for being a lot more excited than the rest of us. Me, on the other hand, my mom was a wizard, even though she prefers hanging out with muggles. "I agree. It'll be awesome," Angelina replied with a big smile on her face. She was a pureblood but like my mother, her parents loved muggles. I nodded in agreement with her previous statement, looking up from the hilarious Tumblr post I had seen. Rose laid diagonally on my grey zebra printed bed, directly in the middle of the rest of us. Her 5 foot skinny physic looked more slim than usually in the black leggings and white crop top she had on. Her shoulder blade long natural brown hair shimmered from the sunlight coming out the open bedroom window, making her dyed blonde highlights even more noticeable. Looking at her was like looking at a baby kitten. An adorable little ball of happiness. I was not very similar to her, I was 5"2 and quite curvy, with my strawberry blonde long hair that was creating a long cavern surrounding my beautiful grey iPhone as I looked down. "So, you're all gonna sleepover tonight right? So we can go to the train station tomorrow?" I asked them all to break the mini awkward silence. Angelina looked at me with a "duh" expression. She was 5"5, considerably taller than Rose and myself, with very dark brown chin length hair. She wasprobably the most athletic person in the group, but also the most outgoing. "I'm coming too," Alicia stated happily. We all faced Alexandra, who was sitting right in the corner of my bed, staring outside the window. She was the most loner-like one of the group, but also the most intelligent. She was a quick thinker and loved to help people. "--Oh.. Well I asked my um dad and he said it was okay," she replied hastily. Her raven hair cascaded smoothly down her shoulders, a rare occurrence for Alexandra, since she almost always had her hair in a ponytail. Alexandra is also the tallest of the group, as she stands at 5"6 but she is almost certain to grow in the next couple years, even at 11 she is that tall. "Yay!!! Even Lexi can come!" Rose yelled clapping her hands together loudly. We all laughed- even Alexandra at the use of one of her many nicknames.

~The next day- train station~

All of us had gathered up right in front of the maroon entrance to platform nine and 3/4. Angelina went first, being a pureblood and knowing all about this kind of stuff. Alexandra looked around nervously for some reason and practically ran in directly after Angelina. Soon Rose followed and I was the last to enter. I observed carefully the train. It was oddly styled, but beautiful none the less. "C'mon, let's go find a place to sit!" Rose waved, grabbing mine and Alexandra's hand while Angelina laid the way. As we got on the train and looked for an empty seat, I spotted a red headed boy up front. I made made eye contact with him for a little and then he waved. I blushed and looked down, probably means nothing. All of a sudden, a blonde boy called Alexandra's nickname. "Alexandra! Come here!" Rose, Angelina and I all turned to look at Alexandra but she just shook her head. "Ignore him, it's just my new brother," she mentioned nonchalantly. We had already known that her parents were dead and she normally moved in with different people, so none of us were truly surprised. We finally found an empty cart and sat down happily. "So, what house do you think we'll be in?" Angelina asked, striking conversation. Rose raised an eyebrow in confusion. "All the students are divided in four houses based on their personality. Gryffindor for the brave. Hufflepuff for the loyal. Ravenclaw for the intelligent. And lastly, Slytherin for the cunning." Alexandra stated sympathetically. I rolled my eyes. "I think we all know what house you'll be in Alex," I told her calmly crossing my arms across my chest. "Ravenclaw," Rose, Angelina and I all said at once before everyone, including Alexandra, burst into laughter. Boy, this was going to be a fun ride.

~At Hogwarts -sorting time~

As Ms. McGonacall called tons of people I did not know, but Alex and Angelina seemed to know a couple, whom they often discussed after their name was called."Rose Casill" the professor stated as little Rose sat in the chair. "Hmm... So sweet. Oh but a little mischievous are we? Hmm.. Gryffindor!!!" The hat yelled and the whole group smiled. It was a perfect fit for Rose, but I don't think it's that good one for me. "Dawn Pelletier" Ms. McGonacall called my name. I stood up and sat in the chair nervously. "Oh.. Well this is a no brainer. Long line of hufflepuffs, kind personality. Hufflepuff!" I was so happy! My mother and grandmother had been there and I was happy to live out what they had started. Next was Angelina who was called. "Oh well this is tough. Would be a great Gryffindor. But the point of view on everything... Ravenclaw!" The hat exclaimed. Me and Rose exchanged looks from our tables. Now that was kind of unexpected. Although Angie always had an interesting perspective on different topics and was very creative. I was honestly so confused on how they ordered when someone went up, but Alexandra was the last person to get to the sorting hat. "Alexandra.. Malfoy?" As the teacher said the name, whispers started erupting. Wasn't that the last name of the guy who got Slytherin while the hat was barely on his head? Whoa. Alexandra went to the hat shyly. "Oh a Malfoy huh? Oh phew not by birth. Hmm. Oh ok Raven-" the hat stop mid sentence and seemed as though it was frozen in fear. Ms. McGonacall was about to take it off her head until it continued speaking. "Slytherin! Put her in Slytherin!" It yelled almost begging to be removed of Alexandra's head. Lex looked like she was about to cry but kept her head high as she slowly walked to the Slytherin's, and as the blonde boy, Draco, I think, patted her on the back happily. We're all in different houses. Oh boy.
