"What do you mean no?" Liam asked walking up to Scott with annoyance written across his face
Look at her, she's too weak, it'll kill her" Scott said which Liam turned to look at Hayden just as Avery walked up to Her and sat down on the ground with her and grabbing onto her hand and immediately she felt Hayden do a tiny but weak squeeze on her hand while letting out small groans in pain "your gonna be okay, I promise" Avery whispered ignoring the sympathetic look Theo was giving her who was squatted down next to her
"We don't know what the mercury is doing to her and we don't know if it's actual mercury, this can't be the only way to save her life" Scott whispered
"It saved mine" Liam responded
"Well that was different, you were hanging off of a ledge" Scott muttered back glancing over to Hayden and noticing how worried Avery looked as her hand clung to Hayden's and whenever Hayden seemed to start dozing off she would squeeze her hand and mutter things to her saying to not go to sleep
"You promised" Liam took another step towards Scott feeling rage fill him remembering the promise Scott had told him not long ago "you said you would do everything you could" his voice got more louder but still tried to keep it down
"That's why I'm not gonna do something that I think is gonna kill her" Scott said but then his breathing started getting heavier "there has to be" Scott's breathing got more heavier as the seconds went passed "there has to-"
"Scott" Theo called out getting up from his squatted position and got out an inhaler before throwing it to Scott who caught it and shook it up before putting it in his mouth and inhaling the air that it produced "there's another way to save her" Scott finished
Hayden's breathing got more noticeable and got more faster so Avery immediately fell down fully onto the ground and letted go of her hand so she could wrap her arms around Hayden and stroke her hair trying to comfort her while also trying to keep her awake "it's okay, it's okay, your gonna be okay"
"Guys I don't know what the statistics are for surviving a werewolf bite but she's definitely not surviving this, we need to do something" Theo called out also noticing how bard Hayden was getting

Melissa was now at the vet clinic and it was day time making the light shine through the windows that were littered at the top of one wall which made the light shine right into Avery's eyes as she stared down at Hayden worriedly but then a hand fell to the bottom of her back making her turn her head even though she knew who it was "she's gonna be okay" Theo comforted but she didn't reply as she turned to look back at Hayden making Theo sigh "you still mad at me?"
