Chapter 3

**BELLE'S POV**

I was working on homework, when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I shouted.

The door opened and it was Jack.

"Hey,"

"Hey," I said back.

"Watcha doing?"

"Homework," I replied.

"Oh."

"Yep, I have to figure out why our powers were created, and the origin of the Man on the Moon." I said.

"Wow, hard work." Jack said.

"Yep, this is school." I said.

"It's getting pretty late, I gotta go, bye."

"Bye," I said, and he kissed my forehead. He closed the door behind him, and I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up, got dressed, and went to school.

"Okay class, I'm going to have you work in partners, umm, Drew with Bryan. Courtney with Stella, and Blair with Grace." I got up, and found Grace.

"Hi I'm Blair." I said.

"I'm Grace," So far I like her.

"So I guess we're partners." I said.

"Yep, what are we supposed to do anyways?" She asked me.

"Umm, I think we're supposed to see each others powers."

"Okay, I'm the daughter of mother nature by the way."

"Cool, I'm the daughter of Santa Clause." I said.

"Wait, that means that your dad is the leader of the guardians." She said enthusiastically.

"Yep, that's him," I said.

I looked at the teacher and she haves a stern look, I guess we have to do more working and less talking. I formed some water out of my hands and Grace's eyes focused on my power.

"Woah! That's cool."

"Thanks, I'm still learning." I say.

"All I can do is heal plants." She said sadly.

"Well that's good, I mean without plants we can't have oxygen." I say, trying to cheer her up.

"Yea I guess go." She says. She's about to say something else, but Drew walks in.

"Hey," He says.

"Hey."

"I saw what you did with the water, it was pretty cool."

"Thanks, I didn't really pay attention to what you did." I say embarrassingly.

"Umm, I was wondering, if maybe... I could come over to work on homework."

"Oh, yeah." I say.

"Okay, I'll meet you after school."

"You too." I wave bye and Grace has a weird expression on her face.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing."

"Okay class, you can go to lunch now." We grabbed our bags and went to the lunch area, Grace and I sat at an empty table.

"Ugh, this lunch is disgusting." Grace says.

"Yep." Grace showed me some of the students, and told me some funny things they did, in the end we were cracking up. Then, a girl I'm guessing is Courtney walks over to us.

"Oh, look the freak of nature made a friend." She said harshly.

"Look, I know who you are."

"You do?" I asked.

"Oh, don't act dumb, I know you helped defeat Pitch and save the world. But don't think you're gonna be popular and take over the school."

"I wasn't thinking of that." I say. She grabs my wrist and her evil eyes are looking into mine.

"I know that you and Drew used to be childhood friends," She grabbed my wrist harder, tightening her grip, "He's mine, and if I catch you with him again, you'll be sorry."

"Ugh!" I yelled in pain, she kept tightening her grip.

"Hey!" I looked up, it was Drew.

"Let her go!" He yelled at Courtney.

She let go of my wrist. I rubbed it to try and get the pain away.

"But Drew, she's just a nobody."

"No she's not! You don't know her! She's beautiful, and smart, and kind, unlike you!" Wow, I can't believe he said that about me.

"Oh what is she, your girlfriend!" Courtney yelled out, the whole school was watching.

"Yes she is."

"Then prove it!" Courtney yelled out.

Drew cupped my cheek and kissed me on the lips. I let go of the kiss first, and ran away from them until I was outside.

"Wait! Belle!"
