Chapter 13 - What Had Happened

We were heading upstairs until we heard the door open the door and turned to see Lizzie running up the stairs to us.

Lizzie: "CIEEEEELLL!!!"

Ciel: "Lizzie?!"

She tackle hugged him before spinning him around, giggling.

Lizzie: "Here, this is for you...!"

She placed a small box in his hand.

Lizzie: "Open it, okay! I can't wait!"

He began pulling the ribbon when Lizzie gasped and took his hand.

Lizzie: "Hold on a moment... I thought I broke this ring a while ago."

Zuli: "Yes, but fortunately, Sebastian was able to repair it."

Lizzie: "But that's impossible! It was chipped! I don't even see a single crack."

Sebastian: "That is true. But if I couldn't do something so simple-"

Ciel: "Then what kind of butler would he be, really?"

Sebastian: "You took the words out of my mouth sir."

Lizzie: "Oh, he fixed it... That's fantastic news..."

She didn't seem happy for some reason.

Zuli: "Lizzie, are you alright?"

Sebastian: "So, Lady Elizabeth... what do you have in the box there?"

Lizzie: "*gasp*! Oh, it's nothing. IT'S A SECRET!"

She snatched it back.

Ciel: "A secret? But you just told me to open it, didn't you?"

Lizzie: "Ahaha... I was teasing you, silly!"

Ciel: "Teasing?"

Lizzie: "No proper lady would try to win a gentleman with material things... that would be unseemly... Now, are you ready, Paula? Ring the bells!"

Paula: "Oh, yes. Of course, my lady... Jingle, jingle, jingle."

Lizzie: "Well, that's all, so have a good day!"

She left in a flash. Ciel, Sebastian and I stood on the landing, quite baffled.

Ciel: "She came here... to ring some bells for me?"

Sebastian: "Tomorrow is your birthday, young master... And come to think of it, my lady... yours is in a few days too. I'm sure that's why she came."

Ciel and I frowned.

Sebastian: "So, what do you think...? Shall we hold a birthday party...? It seems that some people would like to celebrate with you."

We looked down to see the servants peeking out at us from behind a pillar.

Zuli & Ciel: "Our birthdays..."

We stood in silence for a minute.

Sebastian: "Master? My lady?"

Ciel: "Ridiculous... Bring me my tea."

Sebastian: "Right away."

Zuli: "Wait, Ciel... uhm... you know it's been three years... Maybe now that we're back together... and we have a new family... Maybe we could have some kind of party-"
