'You should call him, sir' 

Max turns to his assistant who just talked.

'What you said?' 

'I think you should call him, sir. If it bothers you, call him' he said 

Max was staring at his phone since 10 minutes a go, he stared at a particular number but did nothing with it. His assistant, who has been with him for the past 2 years, seems to already know his boss quite well. Max has alienated himself for the past 2 weeks, he rejected all the party offers, he didn't want to meet anyone outside his office. It was only the office and his penthouse. 

Max sighs. 

'What should I say to him?' Max asked 

'Say what your heart wants to say to him' the assistant said firmly 

'That I miss him? so much, that I almost losing my mind at this point?' he said 

'You know that he lives in the same building as yours right? you could just take the elevator, knock his door' 

Max stands up from his chair, 'you talked too much' he said and walks to the door

'You've been invited to Dexon Charity event tonight, at 8' the assistant said 

'I won't come, just send them the money' he said 

'You may see him there' the assistant responded calmly

Max stops and turns around. 

'See who?' he asked 

'You know who I'm talking about. They invite the employees project leader and above. Knowing he is new, most likely he will come' he explains 

Max stands still not responding for several seconds. 

'We'll leave at 7.30' 

'Ok' Max said and left the room. 

The assistant just smiles and shakes his head seeing his boss acting like a person he never knew before.

Nat sighs, again, he probably sighing once every 5 minutes. He doesn't like to go to this kind of social gathering, but he has no choice, he has to come. Zee, his superior, has warned him that he needs to mingle with people, and charity night like this one is the best place to do that. Aside from the employees and executives from Dexon, they also invite the company's important partners, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Nat couldn't lie, he also quite anxious that he might see or meet Max at the event. After that uneventful night at Burger King, Nat has been more than determined to avoid Max at all cost.

Nat arrived less than 5 minutes before 8, he enters the ballroom of that large hotel with lack of excitement. He looks around, tries to find Zee or people from his department. His plan is to arrive, meets the people he knows, talks to them for 15-20 minutes then go home. That sounds like a good plan for him. He doesn't want to stay long at that place. 

He finally sets his eyes on Zee and some other people from his department, he walks to them.

Max are currently talking with the CEO of Dexon when two men come and approach them. 

'Such a great event' one of the men said once they are close to Max and the CEO. 

The CEO turns to left and a big smile is formed on his face. 

'Mr. Ruangloy' the CEO said excitedly and shakes his hand 

'What a great surprise that you can come this year, I heard you are still in New York' the CEO said
