Emily's POV:

Red blood spurt everywhere. Enid walking away with the boys like nothing happened. I followed them out. Ashley wasn't ready to go. But she wasn't going to last too long out here. In the real world, in the woods, in the apocalypse.

We knew she wasn't the last one standing. Yet we didn't think she'd be the first one to go. And now we are scarred. But now I finally understand.

Everyone will die. You will die, I will die. This is their world were just living in it.

Ashley's POV:

I turned a corner and four dead monsters were there. Their claw like hands pulled me down as I screamed. Their fingernails scraping my skin. I could feel the blood rushing in my veins. Chunks of my body ripped of. A red blur forming in my vision. Mouths clamping onto my body tearing away my flesh. I could feel it all. Every inch of skin peeled off of me, every drop of blood pushing its way out. The last thing I saw was Enid as a single gunshot fired before it went black.

Danny's POV:

"What the hell you guys!" She yelled.
"Quiet Emily you will attract them." Jake warned.
"Ashley's gone and you left like nothing happened!" She said.
"She wasn't strong enough. She would've been gone soon enough." I shrugged.
"That's Ashley."
"She was pretty much dead already." Enid told her.
"Where are we going?" She asked shaking her head.
"Main highway towards the city." Jake reminded.

I nodded and led them. They trailed behind me as I walked in from of them. A few hours later we got to the highway. I saw Atlanta from far away. I sighed.

"It's so far." Emily groaned.
"So what." Enid said annoyed.
"Look!" Jake said pointing ahead.

People. Then loud groans came from behind us. Enid turned around with me. They were coming towards us. They haven't seen us or they would've gotten faster. About half a mile away.

"Run." I said starting to run towards the group.

We saw as the people ducked and hid. We got closer and closer. A small gasp came from Enid and Emily. I looked back and they were rolling under cars.

"Get down." A voice told us.

We dropped to the asphalt climbing under cars. Jake was across from me. The twisted and messed up feet passed the cars. Groaning and limping past.

After the feet disappeared we waited five minutes. We looked in the highway. The dead pretty far. Jake and I pulling ourselves out soon a gun pointing at us. We had our hands up as a man in uniform had his 22 towards us.
