Chapter 31:Reconnection

A Few Hours Earlier Before Cooper And Alex's Arrival

As Nayeon walked toward the parking lot to head over to JYP Ent for practice with her dance teacher.

She felt like something was missing as she took her car keys, what was it?

She found herself looking at the door from the manor to enter the parking area, as if she is waiting for someone to enter, but who is it?

Was it Jeongyeon?

They have been spending so much time together ever since that day in the hospital, they would go to movies, drive each other to work, go to parks, goof around in escape rooms and just basically doing couple-y stuff together, so why, after all that did she suddenly stop?

She then remembered the look Jeongyeon gave her during breakfast when Tzuyu teased them about dating, it looked like she was guilty, like she was being scolded for something really terrible.

Was it that? But why was she guilty? It's not like going to out together was wro-

"Ah...right." She thought, as it finally came into realization on what the reason might be.

Jeongyeon's parents.

She knows how much Jeongyeon loves them, but she also knows that they have certain beliefs that would ruin her relationship with them if she kept hanging out with her.

Jeongyeon's parents knew of her friend's relationships with each other, they despised it and they think that it could potentially 'infect' their daughter into doing the same, and spending more and more time with Nayeon may give them the wrong idea.

Jeongyeon was scared.

She is scared of losing her parents, who are restricting her of who she really is, telling her what she should be rather than letting her make her own decision on the matter just because Jeongyeon values their opinion more than she values her own because of how much she loves and respect them.

It was toxic, in Nayeon's opinion.

And yet Jeongyeon listens, even though her heart is telling her to break free of these restrictions, that she doesn't owe them anything for her to keep following what they say, but she refuses to listen, because her love for them was stronger.

But it's not like Nayeon could just say this all to her face right? It would be selfish of her to do so, because after all, this is none of her business and could only add more stress to Jeongyeon, and she didn't want that.

So even though she knows what she feels for Jeongyeon, it was up to Jeongyeon herself to decide what is best for her, and Nayeon would be okay with any decision she makes, because she doesnt owe her anything and she wants to see the person she loves being happy.

Even though it may be a bad decision, it is her choice.

But Nayeon knew deep down Jeongyeon would make the right decision, she's a really smart, mature and a lot more collected person when she needs to be, these are one of her best qualities that Nayeon loved about her.

Jeongyeon will overcome her fears, and Nayeon is sure of it, so for now, she will just have to distance herself.

So sparing one last glance over at the door, she entered her car and drove off to JYP Ent.

But she didn't know that the younger blonde just standing on the other side of the door, facing the parking lot door as if she should enter, not knowing Nayeon had already left.

She wanted to ride with her, since they were basically going to the same place, but why, after all this time, did she suddenly feel scared?

She knew it that it was Tzuyu's teasing earlier, even though Jeongyeon knew the maknae didnt mean any sort of harm, it did make Jeongyeon realize that she had been too careless as of late.
