Chapter 7 - Chocolate

Valentine's , a day for love and sorrow. Girls confessing to boys. Couples being formed. You know the whole deal...

7:59am - Komi Residence

(...) Shousuke was wide awake.
But nothing from Hitomi yet.

*Brzz Brzz*

He picked up his phone to view the message.

|I woke up late!!! go on ahead >~<| - H

A few minutes later...

"Have a good day!" Mrs. Komi yelled.

Nothing he could do about her being late. So he started walking towards school.

8:27 am - Itan High

*Thud Thud Thud*

*Slide*

"I'M HERE! I'm not late!" yelled Hitomi as she entered the room.

"..."
"..."

They both quickly glanced at each other before turning away.

They pretended nothing happened when Hitomi came over. But something did happen!
And now they can't look at each other out of embarrassment.

(I should say good morning at least...)

Before he could say anything Hitomi started passing around chocolates to her friends.

"One for you! And you and you and you..."

"..." Shousuke didn't really seem to care about getting chocolates but he wouldn't mind getting some from her.

"And that's all!" said Hitomi sitting back down.

"..." Shousuke felt a bit cheated. He thought he'd be one person who would definitely receive chocolates. And although he did, none were from her which sort of pissed him off.

He decided to ignore her for the rest of the day. But it wasn't like she was talking to him anyways.

*shoveee*

Hitomi slid a nicely wrapped box onto Shousuke's desk.

"For you..." she whispered.

He kept a stone cold face but he was secretly happy inside.

"Thank you..." he replied while putting the box away.

"Hehe, you were jealous weren't you?" she whispered again. He shook his head no. But in reality, yes.

"If you say sooo... by the way, can you guess why I was a little late today?" she asked again whispering.

He thought about it for a moment. (Maybe her alarm didn't work? No...). He couldn't think of anything that makes sense for Hitomi.

He shook his head no.

"Ehh? Well I'll tell you anyways"
"I stayed up making those for you..." she whispered.

A slight redness could be seen on his face before he looked down to hide it.

*Bdump Bdump*

(Those feelings again... go away) he thought to himself.

She giggled to herself quietly while he was struggling.

The rest of the day went by quickly. Nothing eventful really happened after he received the chocolates. Although, he did enjoy eating them once he got home.

He thanked her again through text for the chocolates.

(Less than three?) he thought. He doesn't text people a lot so internet slang is a bit new to him.

He decided to leave it at that.

"..." He finished the entire box of chocolates. They were too good to throw away.
