CD Shousuke was frantically looking for the building until he spotted it. "I see it!" yelled Hitomi. They quickly ran under the old shrine to catch their breath.
Huff Huff Huff
They managed to catch their breath after a minute. With only the sound of raining tapping against the bamboo now.
FWOO
"I guess we're stuck here for a while now..." Hitomi said shivering. "I'm sorry..." Shousuke said. "Don't b-be!" She replied. "This was a pretty good day..." she said happily. "Well... at least until that happened" she said staring at the rain.
An awaked silence followed.
(Should I say something?) they both thought.
"You know...it's kind of funny we're in this situation again" Hitomi said giggling.
Shousuke suddenly remembered that time they were stuck inside a shack waiting out the rain. Only this time, it was just the two of them. "Yea..." he responded.
Badump
The weight of their unspoken feelings was starting to become too much for them. The beating of their hearts becoming louder and louder.
Badump Badump
Before he could gather the courage to speak, Hitomi turned towards him with soft eyes. Those soft eyes filled with so much energy now carried a warmth that seemed to melt the barrier between them.
Badump Badump Badump
He slowly caressed her cheek, feeling her soft skin. "Shousuke?" She spoke softly, her voice barely heard over the rainfall.
"I think I-"
CRACK
Badu- Hitomi's eyes grew big. Her face slowly blushing. Her heart skipping a beat.
"S-say that again?" she asked, her voice shaking.
His throat tightened. His face nearing hers.
"I love you... Hitomi" he repeated. Leaning closer until his all they could see was each other. The world fading around them.
Without a second thought, Shousuke leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Realizing what'd he done. He slowly pulled away. But before he could move back, Hitomi grabbed his wrist, pulling him back.
Her eyes met his. Without a word, she leaned in, closing the distance between them, resting her head against his beating chest.
Shousuke had never felt this way before, not knowing what to do, until Hitomi wrapped her arms around him. His arms wrapping around her.
"It's not so cold anymore..." she said quietly smiling.
They stood there quietly, as the rain softly fell around them now.
