"When are you going to tell my sister that you are madly in love with her?" Yelena asked.

You nearly walked straight into the wall as the two of you rounded a corner. "Excuse me?"

"Come on. Everyone can see it."

You grit your teeth, trying to not let your emotions show on your face. You were a master spy, but when it came to Nat...You found yourself wearing your heart on your sleeve. But you couldn't afford that. Not right now, anyways.

"I don't know what you're talking about," you said to Yelena. "And, even if I did, this isn't the place to be discussing it. Not when we've got a mission to complete."

"A mission where Nat wears a pretty dress and has to flirt with the rich, and powerful, and corrupt to get the information we need," Yelena said. "Perhaps we should talk about it. What if your feelings jeopardize everything we're working towards?"

"I'm a professional," you said, watching as Nat laughed at something a crime lord was saying. "I know how to separate my feelings from the mission at hand."

"Even if Nat's kissing one of them?"

"She wouldn't—" Your words died in your throat as you watched Nat begin to lean in. "Maybe you have a point."

"Maybe? I think I do have a point." Yelena looked at you, smirking. "You know, Nat always needs to vent after a mission. Maybe you should offer her an ear."

"Why do I get the feeling you're trying to make an innuendo?" You shook your head, laughing. "Fine. You win. I'll ask Nat out."

"Good girl," Yelena said. "For the record, I call dibs on being maid of honor at the wedding."
