"C'mon," Chris muttered to himself, "you can do this. You're a man. You've asked out plenty of women before."

Except, well, none of the women he's asked out before were you. You, his co-star, his sweet, angelic co-star. He swore, as cliché as it was, he had fallen for you as soon as he saw you.You had been running lines with another co-star, when you turned your head, catching his eye, a smile stretching across your face. You called him over, introducing yourself, and well...The rest was history.

He shouldn't have been nervous. But he didn't know how he would recover if you said no.

So, he just plowed straight ahead, seeing you as you left wardrobe. "Hey, Y/N! Wait up!" you shouted. "Hey, I got something to ask you!"

"Oh, Chris, I'm not—" you said.

"Don't worry, it won't take long." He shut his eyes, taking a deep breath, and said, "I really, really like you, Y/N. Like, more than I can describe. And I've been trying to figure out the best way to ask this, but I figure there's no better way than just saying it. Will you would like to go on a date with me?"

"Well, I would, but—"

His shoulders sank, finally opening his eyes, staring down at his shoes. "Hey, no I get it. No hard feelings, yeah?"

"Wait—"

"You asked the wrong Y/N."

His head shot up. And then he realized. He hadn't asked you out. He asked out your stunt double, Sandy. And you were right behind Sandy.

"I am so sorry—"

"It's alright, it was actually sweet," Sandy said.

"So sweet that I'd say yes," you said, smiling at him.

"Wait, really?"

"Mhm. Friday at eight work for you?"

"Yeah! Yeah, that'd be great."

"See ya then," you said, smiling, before you and Sandy began to walk off.

And as Chris stood alone, watching you walked away, he muttered to himself, "See? That wasn't so hard!"
