prompt: I would like to request something but I'm not sure if I'd like to see it with Colby or Chris. But like the reader and Chris/Colby are exes but something happens and they end up going to the same bar (with some friends) and getting drunk but then ending up sleeping together? If not that's okay too! Thank you🤍

warnings: alcohol consumption, implied smut

"Hey, isn't that your ex?" your friend whispered, nudging you

"Hey, isn't that your ex?" your friend whispered, nudging you.

You turned your head, looking in the same direction as her. And there he was. The man who once owned your heart, a Mister Chris Evans. The break up had been over a year ago and had been a mutual decision. You both were going very different directions in your careers and it left you without much time to spend with each other. So, you both decided it was best to break things off before it got nasty, to at least still let there be love for each other in your hearts.

"Uh huh," you said, sipping your beer.

"Well, aren't you going to go say something?"

"Why would I?"

"Because you've been missing him ever since you broke up," she said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. And maybe it was. Though things had ended well, you couldn't deny the fact that you wanted him back in your life. "Girl, go after him. We both know that if you go over there, he won't leave without you."

"Fine. But if this crashes and burns, you owe me."

You walked over to the other end of the bar, where Chris was talking to a couple of his friends. They were smiling, laughing. You wondered if maybe he realized he was better off without you, if he didn't want you any longer. The closer you got, the more you wanted to run and hide. But it was too late for that. One of Chris's friends had noticed you, and now Chris was turning, his face lighting up.

You barely registered that his friends were slipping away, probably to give you both some privacy. But you were too lost in his familiar blue eyes to notice. "Fancy meeting you here, stranger," you said, sitting on the stool next to his.

"Hey," he said. "How've you been?"

"Good, good. I, uh, got that promotion," you said. Shit, why was this so awkward?

"That's great!" Chris said.

For a moment, nothing was said, just you both taking sips of your beer, the awkwardness eating at you.

Finally, you said, "Alright, can we cut this shit out? Cause I...I really fucking miss you. I know we broke up so we could focus on our careers, but...I don't think I can spend another day without you."

His hand, the one not holding his beer, fell to your knee, and your heart skipped a beat. "You know, I regretted letting you go the moment you walked out the door."

"So, you wanna give this a shot again?"

"More than anything," he said. "Why don't we get outta here? Wanna show you how much I missed you."

You nodded, and he lead you out of the bar, to his familiar car. He opened the door to your side before going over to his own. As he pulled out, you shot your friend a text that you were going home with him, unable to contain your smile.

"You know, Imma be honest with you," Chris said, his hand resting on your thigh as he drove, "I don't know if I'm gonna be able to wait til we get home."

"Well, what's stopping you?" you teased, grinning over at him.
