You pose, smiling anxiously, as flashes of light blinded your eyes. The Percy Jackson Premiere just started, and people started crowding the carpet, many famous people getting flashed every millisecond.Ryan Reynolds, Logan Lerman, Dylan O'Brien, Pedro Pascal were there. There were all starred in the show though, except for Ryan. He was there to support his recent co-star, Walker.
You stood there, gulping though your nervous smile as you walked down the carpet so you could get out of the way. There all these famous people here, and I'm here because of a book. You thought. People do not know me, not yet unless you're a sucker for books.
"Hello!" A young women in a beautiful blue glittery dress said. The theme was blue, signifying Percy being the child of Poseidon, and that it is his favorite color. I walked over to her, putting a big smile for the camera. "Don't you just love the nice breeze? It's great, isn't it Y/n?"
You were currently in Los Angeles for the premiere, in the middle of May. The book starts in May, then ends in June. The producers had an idea of releasing an episode every week for suspense, and it made it better to get more views, like they did for WandaVision.
(I have no idea if that is true but i just assume that's why they did it)
"Yeah, it's nice." You replied with a grin.
The reporter smiled back, "I love your book by the way, I read it to my daughter and also loved it." You have written a book called The Enchanting Mayari.
(This is Philippine mythology, i picked it because I'm Filipino and i've never seen anyone talk about it)
It was presented by Rick Riordan, after your agents helped you get his attention. He loved it, and helped you promote. It was now the New York Times Best Seller and being sold in multiple countries. This had bought you a ticket to all the Percy Jackson premieres, said Rick after he found out how big of a fan you were.
"Thank you so much." You adjusted your dress nervously. This isn't your first interview, but you've never had to be so dressed up like this before. "I didn't think the book would get so big. But it is better for filipinos getting more representation nowadays."
"Yeah, I agree. I'm a fourth filipino and I didn't really get to learn about that part of my family." The woman agreed and you nodded. "So, are you excited to meet the cast of Percy Jackson? I heard you're a big fan."
You chuckled, "Yeah. I'm very excited but very nervous. I've watched most of the cast's past projects and they all are very amazing actors."
You guys end the conversation there, saying goodbye. After taking pictures and talking to other interviewers, you got ready to watch the first episode of the show, in the small theater where they were going to project it. You saw the main cast, Leah, Aryan, and Walker, sitting 2 tables away from you. You stop staring when you realized how long you were looking at them. You get to your assigned seat, where the actors of side characters were. You met the actresses of Clarisse and Nancy. They were very nice to you and the projector started to play.
