As we waited for our order we talked about the crazy day we had just gone through. Trix and Jay kept joking about how Avery might have a brother complex. I laughed and agreed cause it would explain a lot honestly. I mean what little sister goes out of her way just to interfere in her brother's love life. It's not like I'm his first girlfriend, at first he didn't know why he couldn't keep them but then he found out that Avery was scaring and lying to them.
After joking for 15 minutes our order was brought by ours truly Jade. "Hey, My favorite customers," she said with a big smile on her face. Jay and I knew the smile was more so for Trix than for us.
"Hey, Love," Trixie said with heart-eyes. "Hey, Jade" Jay and I said while stuffing our faces with cookies and gulping down our drinks. "They'll never change will they," Jade said to Trixie as they laughed at us. Trixie took the plate of cookies so we didn't eat them all. Jade laughed and told her little sister, Nettie, to bring us some more cookies. Nettie was more than happy to bring them. Like most of the female population, she had a crush on Jason too.
After a while of eating, drinking, and joking. My dad called asking where I was. My dad was strict, he didn't like not knowing my location 25/8. Jay and I left and started getting our story straight on the way. When we pulled up both my and Jason's dads were outside. As we got out of the car we took a deep breath and walked to the house.
"Hey dad, Hey James," I said.
"Hey party people," Jay says walking in front of me like a shield."Hey, kids" they replied.
"Where have y'all been," my dad asked.
"We went to Haven Cafe with Trixie," Jay said before I could.
"We brought back cookies for the house," I added.
"Chocolate Chip, right?" James asked licking his lips. " Of course, are there any other ones we'd get," I replied.
"Mia come here please," my dad said with a "this isn't over" look. I walked over to him already preparing myself to get yelled at. "You know you're supposed to let me know where you're going beforehand," he said with an anticlimax look in his eyes. "I know, It won't happen again sir," I said looking down. "Ok, dismissed," he said. Me and Jay went into the house.
In case you didn't figure it out, our families live in one house. It's me, my mom(Jordan), my dad(Max), and my little sister(Mazikeen; Maze). Then there's Jason's family. It's him, his mom(Taylor), his dad(James), and his twin brother and sister(Noah and Nora). And sometimes Trixie and her little brother(Felix) will come over.
The moment we got to the door a blast of noise was heard. Maze, Nora, Noah, and Felix were arguing constantly. You wouldn't even be able to make out what they were saying. But when we opened the door and they smelled the cookies they stopped in their tracks and almost knocked us over trying to get the cookies. But James had them so it was going to be a challenge.
After a while of eating and talking our moms came home. They own their own Jewelry Company. It's called Paris Morningstarr Designs. They planned the company out when they were in college. My mom majored in business and Taylor majored in design.
"We're home," they said entering the front door.
"Welcome back," we all responded with a mouth full of cookies.
