Astra POV:
Black Lake

After breakfast we all decided to go to the lake for our first free period. Luckily there weren't many people there so we got a great spot nearby.

"So, Astra, what was up with you and Harry last night? You two seemed awfully close," Lizzie says, with a smirk on her face. Josh laughs and I just facepalm.

"Nothing happened. We were partnered up and I took him to the far end to see if we could spot the meteor shower before anyone else. My dad taught me all about the stars, so I know a couple of things," I say. It's not a lie, but it's also not the whole truth. We were partnered up, but I wanted to get to know him better. I only know him as the Chosen One and Professor Potter's son. I want to know him as Harry.

"Mhm. Sure," Lizzie says, laying her head on Josh's shoulder.

"Hey. Get off," Josh says. Pushing her head off with his free hand. She pushes him back and he bumps into me. I push him off and it becomes a competition about who can push who harder.

Third POV:

After the shoving competition (which Lizzie won) the Misfits went to their second period, Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Lupin. The three walk into the room and there is a cabinet in the back corner.

"Well that's not ominous at all," Astra says, looking at the cabinet. What she doesn't notice is that a certain professor is looking at her from across the room. As Astra looks around the room she notices the Professor looking at her. Instead of being creeped out (which she is, but only a little) she just waves and smiles. Instead of waving or smiling, or even nodding his head in acknowledgement, he just turns away and begins class. Odd, Astra thinks.

Since there were no chairs everyone just stands as Professor Lupin begins class.

"Now everyone, you must be wondering what is in this cupboard. Anyone want to take any guesses?" Professor Lupin asks, looking at the class from the front.

Astra and Hermione raise their hands. Lupin picks Hermione.

"It's a bogart sir," she answers.

"Very good Hermione. Now can anyone tell me what a boggart is? Hermione?"

"A boggart is a spirit. It sees a person and becomes what they most fear," Hermione says.

"Now, can anyone tell me an advantage we have over the boggart?" Lupin asks.

"Well for one, most of us know what our fear is so we can be prepared and the fact that we have wands and have spells to fight them helps," Astra whispers to Lizzie, but everyone hears her. Everyone laughs and Professor Lupin looks at her with a stern look that makes her stop laughing.

"Anyways, does anyone else see it?" He asks. "Harry. It seems you have found the answer."

"Um well there's a lot of us, so it won't know which one to target. Right?" He says, looking at his friends.

"Good. Now, as Ms. Black said, we have spells for this sort of thing. Repeat after me Riddikulus," Professor Lupin says.

"Riddikulus!" The class says together.

"Good. Now, who wants to go first?" Lupin asks the class. Half of the class raises their hands. Lizzie raises her hand but Astra and Josh don't. Astra doesn't understand how people could be so excited to see their worst fear. Especially in front of the entire class. Astra knows exactly what her biggest fear is, and she certainly doesn't want to see it. Especially in front of the entire class.

"Alright, alright. Everyone line up," Professor Lupin says, waving his hands. Everyone lined up, and Astra ended up in front of Harry.

Ron's fear was spiders, Hermione's fear was a bad grade, which Astra finds a little ridiculous, Lizzie's fear was a bulldog, Josh's fear was falling off the Astronomy Tower, which Astra felt kind of bad for because of the other night, and everyone else took their turn. When it finally got to Astra's turn, she closed her eyes and thought of Voldemort. She hopes if she thinks of something else, she won't see her greatest fear. She opens her eyes and low and behold.

There her dad is, laying on the ground, dead, bleeding. And she is standing above him, with blood on her hands and a bottle in her hand, a look of surprise on her face. Boggart-her looks at Astra and smiles a crazy smile. Astra looks at the boggart, looks at Professor Lupin and the class, then panics and runs out of the room.

A few minutes after she starts running, she hears footsteps coming up behind her and her anxiety skyrockets. She runs as fast as her legs take her until she finally collapses in an empty hallway and she just lets it all go.

Astra just stays there on the ground, curling up and crying. She stays there for a while until she feels arms circling around her. And not just strange arms, but the loving, warm arms of her father.

She always felt safe in her fathers arms. They felt like home. They felt like baking cookies at the age of 6 and failing miserably so you throw the cookie batter at each other. Or at the age of 8 and falling off the swings and scraping your knees and crying as your father held you and fixed your knees up. Or the age of 4 when you would be scared of lightning so you crawl into your fathers bed and he protects you.

The two stay like that until Sirius picks up Astra, like how he used to when she was a kid. He takes her to his office where she falls asleep on the couch. As she rests, Sirius goes to the door and opens the door where Harry stands, about to knock.

"Oh sorry. I just wanted to check on Astra," he says, scratching his neck.

"She's fine. She's fallen asleep. She does that after she cries. You did the right thing Harry," Sirius says, putting his hand on his godson's shoulder.

"Okay. I wasn't sure what to do. I've never been the best at comforting people. But she told me how you would tell her stories about the stars and it looked like she really trusts you," Harry says, looking over Sirius's shoulder at Astra. She looked so peaceful. It's hard to think that that girl, so young, so peaceful, could have that kind of fear.

"She'll be okay. I'll make sure of it," Sirius says. Harry nods, but he's clearly not convinced. "Listen, when she wakes up, I'll make sure she's okay, and then I'll send her to find you and you can make sure she's okay. How about that?" Sirius said.

"Yeah, that sounds good. Well, I better get going. Thanks Professor Black," Harry says, leaving. While Harry and Astra might not see it, Sirius sees the look he gave her. He saw the concern in his eyes.

They might not see it, but everyone else around them can.
