Aether POV:
I was tightly embraced by Xiao's warmth. For a moment, just a moment, I had forgotten about Zhongli and his threats.
The rest of the world just froze. For that one moment only Xiao and I were there.
"X-Xiao!" I pushed him away from me. "We, we can't be like this..."
Xiao seemed to have forgotten that Zhongli threatened them even though it was just yesterday (depression hit him hard-)
Xiao lowered his head, his hands placed on my shoulders. "What...if..." He whispered
"Eh? What if what?" Xiao's head slowly lifted.
"Screw Morax." He looked at me dead in the eyes. "I'm not gonna listen to him.... I'm not gonna let him destroy my life just because Childe died...!"
I looked at Xiao in shock. I mean, Xiao, betraying Zhongli...? It's kinda hot- WAIT STOP NO. I shook my head slightly and thought about it.
"What if...we don't tell Zhongli about this...?" I lifted Xiao's head by the chin, so our faces were almost touching. (pls do that to me Aether-) "That would be our perfect solution"
He smiles as we come together for one small kiss. It was quick but filled with love. We soon fell asleep hands intertwined.
~Next Day~
Xiao and I looked out off the roof of Wangshu Inn while talking about this secret relationship we had and how we could hide from Zhongli.
During our planning phase, Ganyu came around telling Xiao that Zhongli didn't want her to date Keqing anymore. (I'm Ganqing trash omg) We both flat out said for her to do it in secret, but try to convince him otherwise first.
The next week was surprisingly fun. We kept our relationship a secret with only Ganyu, Keqing and Hu Tao knowing (Cuz Hu Tao don't give two fucks about Zhongli-) we decided not to tell the other Adepti though.
~Two Weeks Later~
"Hmm...." I contemplated an idea through my head. Xiao sensed it and came over to me.
"Something wrong?" He leaned against the railing of the balcony.
"O-oh, I was just thinking of a dumb idea" I scratched the back of my head.
"Nothing you think of is dumb." He smiled warmly at me. (The sexual tension I can't-)
I blushed furiously, but stayed calm and prevented a gay panic.
"I though that it would be fun to have a fake wed...." My voice faded from embarrassment.
"A wedding?" I could feel Xiao staring.
"I told you it was dumb-"
"Ok, let's do it."
"E-eh?!" 0////0
