"Why not?" Nimah asked.

"I can't kill Wilbur."

"Why not? He clearly broke your heart too."

"He's still a person. And I'm still connected to him deep down. You of all people should know that. You've been watching."

"You're going to regret not moving him out of your life, you know."

You held onto your god book tight, not even realizing it. You were teleported back to your realm. You had to gain more control of your powers. Although you had more to ask Niamh, at least you knew what her curse was all about.

You cracked open the door to Dream's room and you looked all around the room to see him gone. Where was Dream? He was peacefully sleeping the last time you checked. You started to search throughout the house and the built-in lab.

"Dream?!" You shouted, hoping for a response.

There was no response. You had checked everywhere in the house, but he was gone. You went outside, sitting down on a log in the forest, and the shade prevented the moonlight from shining on you. Your eyes were tearing up, even though they shouldn't be this easily. Dream was probably just on a walk.

"Mi amor?"

You jumped up. Your heart beated fast as you calmed down once you saw Quackity's face. He had almost given you a heart attack as his finger touched your shoulder. You hadn't seen him since you saved him from Dream killing him.

"I heard that you were dead..."

"I was revived, and now I have a god book that allows me to travel between the realms of life and death," You explained.

"Two deaths, huh?"

You smiled.

"Why are you out here all alone?"

"I don't know where Dream is."

"I can't believe he'd leave you like this," Quackity grumbled, clenching his fists together.

"Oh well," You laughed.

Quackity sat down next to you on the log, his hand moving closer to yours. He wore a smile on his face, and his black hair was a little bit longer. You had wished that he had gotten over his crush on you, but it didn't seem that way.

"So, still dating Dream?" Quackity questioned.

"Yes. Actually, we're engaged."

Quackity's smile transformed into a frown "Oh."

He pushed something back into his pocket.

"How's life been?"

"Not the best. I've had a lot going on."

Quackity was running out of topics to talk about. You wondered why he seemed so nervous and sad. Usually he would be very energetic and happy, but you could see that something was really bothering him.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"Oh, nothing. Would you like to visit Las Nevadas?" he offered.

That was Quackity's nation. "That would be wonderful!" You accepted.
