I walk with bags full of groceries and a bunch of books that the library I work at gave me. Trying to reach the apartment I share with Peter. I have my hands full and I just want to get home, to Peter's arms and his kisses. I start making noises while trying to search for the keys and when I was about to open the door, Peter did it. Making my heart bump as fast as the first time I saw him. With that shine on his eyes and all the love that I know he has for me, but down those dreamy eyes, there were dark circles.
—Have you sleep?
—Oh, yeah, like 30 minutes after you left me here.
He stretches, at least he took a shower. He has put on some jeans and a t shirt showing me his muscles.
—But come here, I've miss you all day, birthday girl.
—Let me put this on the table, they are so heavy.
Before I could take another step, Peter took the bags of my hands, laying them over the table without even hesitating, I totally forgot how strong he is.
—Well, you just did it for me.
—Now come here, I need my girlfriend.
He took me by my waist, getting me closer to him. His kisses were the ones I most enjoy.
God, I never thought I could get addicted to something else but this.
—I barely saw you this morning...
—I know, sorry, but I liked waking up with you and the cake you gave me. I had to get early to my classes and work, sorry I leave.
—I told you, you don't have to work, with what I do it's enough.
—When I started to work we could move to a bigger apartment and I feel that I'm helping you in something. You have your photography room and I have my space for all my books, and the bed it's not near the kitchen.
We both smile and I rub his cheek while he hold me by my waist.
—I feel that it's taking you time to try to get your powers back or something magic here...
—It has been three years, Peter. At this moment, it doesn't excite me or I neither have hope that something could happen... And we already know that there's no magic here.
—Three years.
He smile ignoring everything else I told him.
—I can't believe they have been 3 years.
—A long time together, I never believe I'll be this long with someone. I think it's time to move on.
—Oh yeah, I don't want to be with you anymore.
I make puppy eyes and he smile.
—Happy Birthday, my love. Another birthday with you, darling.
He kiss me on my lips and then over all my face.
—I have another surprise for you, that I hope you like.
—Please, not a party full of people, it has been a long day. School, the library, they made all this mess and the clients ended up singing me happy birthday too... A lot of congratulations, even Mr Fletcher gave me some books.
—So now I have competition for your birthday, I see.
—Oh, nobody compares to you.
I kiss him.
—I can't even imagine a better gift than you in my life.
—So you will like my surprise. I asked your favorite food..
