Things at rest..

You hike your backpack higher up on your shoulders, as you follow behind Red. You look around at the buildings idly, trying to remember where your mutual friend told you guys to meet her. Eventually, you give up, and decide to just trust that Red won't go running off any time soon without you.

While you guys are journeying to the meeting spot (wherever that is), why don't you examine your friend? I mean, uh, you totally decide to examine your friend by your own volition, yep.

Um.. Anyways! Examining, yes.

Red's about 5'9'', with long, auburn hair. You know his exact height because he likes to lord it over you and your other friends. His hair is tied up into a ponytail, which you briefly watch sway as he walks. He's got a ton of crappy bracelets on his wrists, all in various colors, and his fingernails are painted black, courtesy of your mutual friend. Right now he's got a tank top on, despite the fact it's actually rather chilly out. At least he's wearing jeans today, as just looking at his bare shoulders makes you shudder in sympathy. How he can stand the cold, you don't know, but you're slightly envious of.

You briefly entertain the fantasy of being a frost being, your brain picking up on your thoughts as usual, and making them much more fantastical than what they really are. You're halfway into a third character rework when you suddenly notice that Red has stopped moving.

Peeking out around him, your eyes flit over where your friend has chosen as a meeting spot today. Like you somewhat expected, it's a worn down playground, neglected by the city, but certainly not neglected by the homeless and daring.

The play structures are either broken, or have been painted over with graffiti. A few are left untouched, though they aren't in super stellar condition. Looking around however, you quickly notice a lack of something.

"Hey, where's Raven?' You ask, slightly annoyed. She asked you to wake up early, and yet she's not even here?? "Don't tell me you lied, and she doesn't actually need us here this early." You frown a bit as you think of more reasons, not really letting Red answer. "Or, wait, did she ditch us?? Maybe she's finally had enough, or maybe she got ran over or something.."

Red hums contemplatively as he listens to you ramble, frowning at the lack of her presence.

"Dude, I don't know. I didn't lie, she really wanted us here this early.. Maybe she's hiding in a dark corner somewhere?" He tugs you by the arm, as your still muttering reasons to yourself on why she may be absent.

The two of you look around, checking every dark corner there is to be found. However, there's no sign that Raven was there.

You let out an annoyed huff, before breaking away from Red and sitting on the only swing still useable. Red gives you an apologetic look, before sitting down nearby as you start swinging idly.

"Welp, sorry 'bout this dude. If I knew she was gonna be late I wouldn't have gotten you up so early."

You shrug absently, as it's not really his fault. Sure, it sucks you couldn't catch any more z's, but it's not gonna kill you or anything like that. You hope that whatever's caught Raven up isn't anything bad, like on a scale of traps/nets you hope what caught her was one of those cartoon box traps and not like... uhh.. well you don't actually have any idea what a more advanced trap would be specifically so.. um.. let's just go with a steel net, that's a thing, right?

Still contemplating capture devices, your startled suddenly out of your musings by the happy shout of another one of your friends.

"Luke?! Red?! Is that you two over there?" Waving his hands frantically (and ridiculously in your totally humble opinion) at you two is your posh friend, Prince. Again, not his actual name, but it's actually got a modicum of truth for his life (or so he says really). Apparently, the dude is actually a Prince, from the far off kingdom of Yushire. Prince was, apparently, kidnapped and dropped here in your dank city, once it became apparent his parents weren't going to pay the ransom.

You aren't too certain on the validity of his story, but a point to it, you suppose, would be his kind of, uh, verbose way of speaking sometimes, and his accent.

Just like his not-name implies, the clothes he wears are quite fancy compared to yours and Red's. Wearing a dark blue button up vest over a fancy-looking white shirt, he's so got on some (apparently) real gold bracelets and rings on. Maybe you and Red are rubbing off on him, as he's wearing plain black dress pants today, with sneakers. Normally he tries wearing some fancy shoes with some equally as fancy pants, but you guess he's figured to stop trying that hard with his outfit around you guys.

His bright blonde hair almost blinds you as the sun hits it. That, combined with the fact his teeth are so fucking white that they literally glare in the light, makes you have to squint your eyes at him.

Quickly deciding to save your vision while you can, you turn your attention to Red, who doesn't shine as brightly as Prince does in the sun. You watch as Red stands up with a happy smile, waving at Red.

"Oh shit! Is that you Prince?! Did Raven tell you to meet here too?" Red calls to Prince, reminding you, oh yeah, you gotta actually respond to him.

"Yo, Prince, my man! What's good dude?" You stop swinging (or, well, try too) and give Prince a little wave as he approaches. He returns your waves with a wide grin.

"Hello good chaps! Luke, I'm doing quite marvelous today, how are you? And Red, yes, our gloomy friend did tell me to meet here. Have you perchance seen her visage around?"

You inwardly cringe at his way of speaking. Look, as much as you love and appreciate your friends, there's certain aspects 'bout each of them you just cringe at. You're fairly certain it's the same with them and you, so you totally don't feel guilty at all admitting this (that's a lie. You feel really bad about it, like, mental slap bad about it.) You grin back at Prince, and give him a thumbs-up as Red sighs next to you.

"Nope, ain't seen skull or bones about her." Red answers, crossing his arms over his chest. When Prince stares blankly at him, he smiles sheepishly, before correcting himself. "Ah, I mean, I ain't seen her at all around here."

... You forget sometimes that Prince is still new to your little group, and he doesn't get your weird sayings or substitutions.
